Likes: The iberico pork was alright, dessert was definitely refreshing. Rump was okay - rump being rump, definitely a lot more tender than the usual rump but I think I like meat that melts in the mouth more. No more rumps for me please. Dislikes: The chicken liver pate tasted a little funny, I guess after having Dinner's Meat Fruit, no liver parfait is the same anymore...

Despite being nothing Louisiana about it, the Creamy Asam Pedas sauce may be their best one yet. Asam pedas pairs excellently with seafood, this is no exception. We had it with the Crab Coma (2 pcs of XXL crab) and found that the spicy and tangy flavor really accentuates the natural sweetness of the crab, or any kind of shellfish. Truly finger licking good and I highly recommend it.

Chili Lobster - MYR158++ (MYR177.5 nett after 6% GST and 6% service charge). This dish does not taste spicy at all. It is kind of sweet. We feel that the lobster in this meal is the largest lobster among our three orders. The deep fried mantou (buns) are quite small.

Conclusion: better spend your money at a proper Japanese restaurant if your aim is to have sashimi. Off the top of my head, both Ichiro Sushi Bar and Yuzen are able to provide better value, quality and service.

Overall, their salmon is really good, even the normal salmon is good, salmon belly is just a tad better. But both are really yummy. The truffle mash potatoes is quite good as well. You can park in One Mont Kiara mall, and walk to Fat Fish, save on the parking fee as the Shoplex Mont’ Kiara parking fee is slightly more expensive. Must must make reservation else you risk being turned away just like i did previously.

My Personal Opinion What can I say...everything is fresh, fresh, fresh....from super fresh seafood to freshly made pasta to freshly made kitchen sauces....and I want more, more, more! If you could have just one dish here...make it the Seafood Aglio-Olio (for now)...or just any dish with clams in it. Reasons to visit Bait Bangsar: value for money and attentive service. Everything we tasted today was very good indeed but if forced to choose only one highlight, it would be the Seafood Jambalaya. Late night visitors should also check out Bait for its Nasi Lemak (RM15) which is available to take away once normal kitchen service ceases at 22.30.

The Kam Heong Chicken here is da bomb. It is a tad pricy – 20 ringgit but it tasted good. Kam Heong is all about the chicken and prawn paste. Most often, you can hardly taste the paste but here though, not only would you taste it in the gravy, there were plenty of dried prawn bits that provided a nice texture to this dish. The taste of lemongrass and curry leaf was also prevalent. It was lovely. The gravy was thick and had a mixture of flavors evident from the variety of items used, yummy!

The Classic Roman Marinated Rack of Lamb @ RM78.00 is also a new item on the menu. The rack of lamb was in marinated in classic Roman-style and was then grilled to the doneness of your choosing – best is medium raw and served with spinach cream and mashed potatoes with parmagiana sauce. Since our lamb was cooked medium raw, it was pink and slightly bloody in the middle. This is easily the best dish of the night.

I liked the fried noodles the best. It had a rather unusual but appealing flavor. The dish originally comes in wet form, Cantonese style. I wasn’t in the mood for wet noodles and requested for a dry version, which they were nice enough to accommodate. The dry version, still came with a little gravy at the bottom but just enough to provide the noodles with some texture – thick, sticky, gooey feel. That gravy though – it was ginger-ish. I usually am not a fan of anything ginger, I simply do not like the overwhelming flavor but here, it somehow worked. It still was the first thing you’d taste but I guess the fact that it was mixed with the gravy that had on several other items, made it tolerably appealing. I liked the extra ‘kick’ the noodles offered.

Likes: Overall, the food are all generally good. They were all up to expectations, only perhaps the salad yee sang that was a little too innovative - it's nothing more than just a salad. It's great to cater the Petaling Jaya crowd, where you don't have to go all the way to KL for proper Chinese 10 courses kind of dining. Dislikes: Definitely a little too far for those who lives in KL and there are plenty of other choices in KL too so no point driving all the way here.

整体来说这家餐厅算是清真中餐里头我还算喜欢的一家,有特色而且不贵,下次和回教朋友吃饭的话会考虑来这里。

87 Restaurant & Bar‘s beer might not be the cheapest in town, but it’s definitely cheap enough. An ice cold mug of Tiger beer is RM9.90 and it proved too enticing for me to pass up. Seeing that most cafes in the vicinity charge RM10 for a latte I might as well have a beer instead.

I personally like this flavour which has a strong aroma and coupled with the freshness of the Clam, it was a real treat and for this, we ordered a bowl of white rice to finish off the creamy buttery flavourful sauce.

It was a pretty bad experience overall. Bad food, bad service, high price point. They certainly need to revamp their entire operation in order to thrive in the competitive Chinese restaurant scene in PJ.
