What do We Like about Sushiya, One Utama? -Fresh and delicious sashimi -Omakase bar for the unique’s view of the chef’s work
Unagi and Grilled Salmon Don with Chawanmushi and Miso RM 48 This is another don we ordered and it is Unagi and Grilled Salmon Don. We know there are many people who are not a fan of sashimi or fresh seafood so this is a good option. Sweet and tasty unagi (eel) with lightly grilled salmon with rice. This also comes with also comes with chawanmushi and miso soup. Overall, we love the food at Ichiro Sushi Bar at Eat Paradise Isetan One Utama. The sashimi here is very fresh and what you pay is what you get in terms of quality of the food.
Ichiro Sushi Bar at Eat Paradise One Utama Shopping CentreIchiro Sushi Bar at Eat Paradise One Utama Shopping Centre offers one of the best sushi and sashimi...
Salmon Zanmai is one of my favourite dish. For salmon lover, you can dive to enjoy the awesome choices of sushi all in one goal where you can have salmon, salmon belly, broiled salmon, salmon roasted with cod roe and the salmon roll all in one place. One can enjoy the melts in the mouth salmon which is delectable.
It was a good lunch with my sister. Good & fast service and the quality of the food remains the same in all the outlets which I am quite impressed. Well done guys.
Darling also ordered this Mentaiko Spider Roll (RM13.80). Deep fried soft shell crab rolled in nori sheet and rice. Wrapped in Vietnamese spring roll skin and topped with avocado and cod roe mayonnaise. We super love this and will definitely order this again on our future visit.
For me I am so in love with the Ebi Tempura Udon which comes with the slurpy noodles and topped with the crunchy crispy deep fried prawns on top. Yummz
Salmon Kama Karaage (RM 5.80) The deep fried salmon was quite tasty, juicy and crispy. We saw many people ordering chicken karaage but I didn't because didn't think it was special enough to order karaage. Moreover, the salmon had promotion at RM 5.80 instead of RM 10.80
喜欢吃寿司的朋友可以到这里试试 新鲜 便宜 又好吃 又可爱 哈哈
The sushi is pretty good, soft and melt in the mouth. The beef teppanyaki taste good with no strong smell, my wife approved. This place seems to be a neighbourhood favourite, and reservation is..
Verdict If you are looking for finest quality of Japanese cuisine at a very reasonable price in a casual settings, Jyu Raku at SS15 Subang Jaya will be the best choice. Not to forget that the fresh cut of every sashimi is fresh and big cut. Don't believe? Try out yourself.
The sashimi platter has the best to offer in terms of taste, smell and texture.
First must order: Chuka iidako (baby octopus). I love chewy things (like squid and mochi), so chuka iidako is a must have whenever I go to any Japanese restaurant. The one at Sushi Zanmai, however, has perfected the marinade, so much so that it doesn’t feel right eating it anywhere else. It has a nice balance between sweet and savoury, peppered with fragrant sesame seeds on a bed of fresh lettuce and shredded radish. Portions are of a reasonable size as well.
It was a good lunch for us. The food was good but the service was a bit slow maybe because it was too busy. It is one of the reasonably priced Japanese Restaurant for me.
Unatama Don (RM 15.80 ++) Love the slightly chewy texture of the Japanese rice, paired with Unagi Kabayaki & boiled egg with runny eye yolk, AWESOME!
Reasons to visit Hanare Japanese Restaurant, Intermark Mall: intimate sushi bar experience, a chef that likes to talk and explain the food and omakase dining, fresh, seasonal ingredients direct from Toyosu Fish Market in Tokyo.
Hanare KL's weekend a la carte buffet is priced at RM180++ per adult and RM89++ for children aged between 4 to 12 years old
首先推荐的是他们家的限量版料理! 除了这个限量版料理之外, 所有美食料理都是任吃的~
This Japanese restaurant has the perfect environment for business lunch, date night, outing with friends, birthday gathering or family dinner.
Instead of a massive queue at Sushi Zanmai, you may opt for Hokkaido Sushi instead. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm puh-retty sure that Hokkaido Sushi & Sushi Zanmai's menu offer similar items. Different names, same menu. But of course, each foodie item listed on Hokkaido Sushi's menu is charged a ringgit extra compared to Sushi Zanmai's menu. *All these statements are based on my observations* I hope Sushi Zanmai hasn't hiked up their prices :p
Lastly, among the side dishes I have tried, I personally like Mentaiko Spider Roll a lot. Different from other dishes with soft shell crab, this dish comes with avocado, which enhances the special taste of the sushi. Rating: 9/10
Unagi Don (RM 35) Have the bowl of don which is served with the roasted eel over a bowl of rice. I love their well roasted eel and it is such a perfect indulgence.
Teriyaki Chicken Burger, 23.80 ringgit. This burger tasted delicious. If you are a fan of “Teriyaki” , then do give this a try. rest assured that every mouth you take has teriyaki sauce in it. I loved it, the slightly spicy, sweetish flavor it provides certainly made the burger as a whole yummy. You would also get a decent chunk of boneless, crunchy grilled chicken + sweet daikon + onions + cheese + cabbage, with some fries on the side. I gobbled it all up, sure was yummy. Loved it.
My Personal Opinion What can I say except....bring your appetite.....they're going to feed you well here!
But for now without further ado, here presenting to you the finespun 20 Sushi Omakase Course by Sushi Hibiki 鮨ひびき this fall.
Sweet White Corn Premium corn that is only available during the seasonal Smmer- Autumn transition
Bara chirashi A lovely medley of assortment of oceanic goodness such as golden eye snapper, horse mackerel , Isaki, ainame (greenling )salmon , tuna, prawn , ikura, tamago, cucumber, ginger, marinated squash and many more!
Decent and fast service Izakaya Japanese Eating Place in Johor Bahru.
Yaoki is the stalwart of Japanese restaurants in JB. I shall be back to try more things on their extensive menu including their sushi, sashimi, yakitori etc.
Edo Ichi is kind of a luxury japanese restaurant. Though, i think they serve sorta bigger portion than Sakae Sushi and have better service.
It is so pack that we can’t get a table and have to sit at Sushi bar but better than waiting, the sushi bar is not small either it has great depth that enough to place a few plate so it still very comfort. Great environment with dim light and a big aquarium with sea water fish in it.
Next, we tried Edo Ichi’s Soft Shell Crab and Salmon Skin salad (RM18). This salad comes with a heavenly sesame dressing that left me wanting more! I love Asian style dressings so much more than regular mayo or Thousand Island.
Sushi Ya offers Sushi at RM1.90 and RM2.90. Due to the relatively low price, it's quite popular among residents in Jelutong. It was crowded during my visit. However, the sashimi they served are not really that fresh. You can see from the maguro sushi below. I guess this is a trade-off for the price. Well, if you're not into raw fish, this might be a good place for you to have economical sushi.
Lovers of Sushi, Maki and Nigiri might be glad to know or not that Sushi Ya has opened a new outlet in Penang island. The brand is well-established at Raja Uda and is known for its economical offering. Many budget eaters flocked the place when it was first opened; the new branch at Straits Garden, Jelutong is highly visible from the bustling Jelutong Street. But how economical is economical, you wondered? The items run on the Sushi Belt are priced either at Rm 1.90 (for pink plates) and Rm 2.90 (for red plates); while those on the menu are priced relatively lower than most Japanese restaurants in town. The trade off is of course the quality, which equates to the prices- cheap. Oddly, though the prices seem cheap, the final bill came to (4) us was slightly over Rm 150 (plus surcharges). There was no satisfaction at all; unless required, we do not see ourselves patronizing the place in the future.
The Salmon Kabuto Shioyaki is another dish which capture my attention. The delicious salmon delights where the salmon is perfectly grilled with salt. The hint of light saltiness combined with the light char taste is just so good that I am totally in love with it.
Sushi Ya (寿司屋) is a new chain of Japanese restaurants in Penang and Kedah.
新壽司 Shin Zushi Bar, since its opening just a few months ago has become a popular lunch and dinner destination; often seen with customer queuing for a table outside its restaurant.
2nd visit to USJ 10's Shin Zushi this month, left with satisfaction!
Ramen and salmon nigiri sampled today were tasty, above average, definitely value for money.
Reasonably price and quite good, i especially like their chawan-mushi
Here's the location.
The only thing I could compliment was the texture of the Sushi Rice... which surprisingly alright.
If you’re a fan of sashimi, you can enjoy feasting on Norwegian Salmon, freshly air-flown to the outlet.
It has been 2 years since the last time I visited Miri. I see a lot of new buildings, new malls and new beaches that are opened. I am truly happy to see the Oil Town Miri is back to its glory. At Tanjong Lobang Beach, there is a new chained Japanese restaurant which is originated at Brunei. It is called Excapade Sushi Japanese Restaurant. Now they have expanded to Miri. I used to dine in this restaurant at Brunei which you can check out the post here.
Way satisfied than Sushi King! Even though it's on the pricier side, but the foods are definitely worth it. The tastes are better, the meats are juicier... hahah. I would suggest you to book a spot so you don't need to rush and not enjoy the food! Now I know why people from Miri would drive out to Brunei just for a taste of these :D
One of the must-try dishes at Kin Gyu is the Sukiyaki hot pot (RM250). Sit back and watch as one of the staff cooks the sukiyaki tableside. For 2 - 3 person set, you will get two different cuts of Wagyu - the rib eye and chuck. The staff starts off by gently grilling the leeks and then adding some of the warishita sauce and then cooking the rib eye beef. You can choose from three different dipping sauces - whipped egg sauce, raw egg and dashi sauce - to which the beef will be added for you to enjoy. Then, the staff will meticulously arrange the other ingredients into the sukiyaki pot, such as vegetables, mushrooms, wheat gluten and kudzu starch noodles. There is also a pot of dashi stock, which you can add to the sukiyaki if you find it too sweet. For us, the taste was just right. Truly enjoyable.
Highly recommend the latter (Soy Milk & Cream Cheese Tofu RM15) – homemade cheese tofu using fresh soy milk, arrow root and cream cheese. So creamy, savour slowly for the melt-in-mouth sensation.
Wagyu Beef Soup Rice – RM100 Charcoal grilled Wagyu beef served on top of a bed of rice in a claypot. On the side, with Japanese soup stock of bonito flakes, dried sardine and mackerel flakes poured over. This is heavenly lip smacking. I was taught how to eat this Gyu Kabayaki Hitsumabushi – first we eat the original flavour without adding anything. Then, add in condiments for another taste. Lastly, add in the dashi to the rice. 3 ways of enjoying this rice!
Firstly, we had the Chef Yama signature recommendation dish “Salmon Belly Osaka Sushi” RM28.80 – Salmon Rice Osaka with sushi rice in garlic and onion flavor. The sushi platter appearance gives a very stunning impression at first glance, while the food itself is a long and huge “Wooooow” shoutout from us, just way too many stuff lingering around our mouth right after taking a whole bite and leave us speechless for a few minutes (we actually just described how good this sushi really is)! 😉 If traditional sushi is simple and awe-inspiring (fresh seafood and vinegar rice), then the fusion sushi is the symbol of grand and elegant (more intense and unique flavor from a various mixture of sauces).
Chicken Katsu Don, 23.80 ringgit The Chicken Katsu Don/ Rice Bowl was yummy! I’d certainly order this dish again. You’d get a generous portion of crispy, tender chicken fillet + egg and caramelized onions. There was some sort of gravy that came with the rice, that gravy was a delicious blend of sweet and spicy which made the dish even better. If you fancy a dish that is flavorful and filling, do consider this Katsu Don.
I had the Shiro ramen (RM12.80)…Everything was drowned in the soup, completely submerged, so I had to meticulously bring the onsen egg, the fried chicken cutlets and the noodles to the surface to take a photograph of it and no, I did not enjoy it much. The broth was way too thick and rich, rather strong on the taste of garlic AND sesame oil
I had the salmon teriyaki don (RM15.20)…and of course, I did give a bit of the salmon to my girl – she likes the fish very much too, alongside the unagi and yes, I did get the miso soup too!
That was why for our individual orders that day, I asked for the shiro ramen (RM12.80)…and the instant it was served, I felt kind of disappointed at the sight of the hard-boiled egg. I always saw those onsen eggs in friends’ blogs, hard boiled on the outside, the yolk still runny…or soft and moist. Maybe they should invite me over to teach them how to cook eggs like that. Tsk! Tsk! I was also put off by how it reeked of sesame oil but thankfully, when I ate it, I could not detect the taste and much to my delight, I found the soup really nice…but I still could not get over that egg!
