One of the must-tries here in my opinion is the inari with tempura shrimp. Each plate comes with one piece only, but this is the most addictive shit you’ll ever come across. The shrimp is sizable and not just from the batter, it’s crispy, and there are fried flour bits thrown into the sweet inari as well to lend it texture. Couple it with the sushi rice underneath and a smattering of Jap mayo and salty fish roe on top, and you have a recipe for success. I can eat 5 of these in one go lol.
Both moo and pops had the saba (grilled mackerel) set. Fish was done well, and the meal came with rice, tofu, chawan mushi and miso soup.
Attention All SUSHI LOVERS! Japanese food lovers who are always on a look-out for delicious and affordable sushi cuisine need not look far now. Now, hardcore sushi lovers can satisfy their cravings for this delightful sushi starting from RM1.80 only at Sushi ZenS Japanese Restaurant. I was at Sushi ZenS Japanese Restaurant, their 4th outlet in Puchong recently to sample and check out their latest menu with a wide selection of Sushi, Sashimi, Ramen, Udon, Gohan and Bento Set. Located at Persiaran Puteri 1, Bandar Puteri, Puchong's famous food street, they are fast becoming one of the popular haunts among office workers and Puchong folks.
You can order my favourite Japanese Appetizer the Chuka Idako (RM5.80) which has a nice firm chewy Baby Octopus.
Salmon Zanmai is one of my favourite dish. For salmon lover, you can dive to enjoy the awesome choices of sushi all in one goal where you can have salmon, salmon belly, broiled salmon, salmon roasted with cod roe and the salmon roll all in one place. One can enjoy the melts in the mouth salmon which is delectable.
It was a good lunch with my sister. Good & fast service and the quality of the food remains the same in all the outlets which I am quite impressed. Well done guys.
Darling also ordered this Mentaiko Spider Roll (RM13.80). Deep fried soft shell crab rolled in nori sheet and rice. Wrapped in Vietnamese spring roll skin and topped with avocado and cod roe mayonnaise. We super love this and will definitely order this again on our future visit.
For me I am so in love with the Ebi Tempura Udon which comes with the slurpy noodles and topped with the crunchy crispy deep fried prawns on top. Yummz
Salmon Kama Karaage (RM 5.80) The deep fried salmon was quite tasty, juicy and crispy. We saw many people ordering chicken karaage but I didn't because didn't think it was special enough to order karaage. Moreover, the salmon had promotion at RM 5.80 instead of RM 10.80
喜欢吃寿司的朋友可以到这里试试 新鲜 便宜 又好吃 又可爱 哈哈
The sushi is pretty good, soft and melt in the mouth. The beef teppanyaki taste good with no strong smell, my wife approved. This place seems to be a neighbourhood favourite, and reservation is..
Verdict If you are looking for finest quality of Japanese cuisine at a very reasonable price in a casual settings, Jyu Raku at SS15 Subang Jaya will be the best choice. Not to forget that the fresh cut of every sashimi is fresh and big cut. Don't believe? Try out yourself.
The sashimi platter has the best to offer in terms of taste, smell and texture.
新壽司 Shin Zushi Bar, since its opening just a few months ago has become a popular lunch and dinner destination; often seen with customer queuing for a table outside its restaurant.
2nd visit to USJ 10's Shin Zushi this month, left with satisfaction!
Ramen and salmon nigiri sampled today were tasty, above average, definitely value for money.
Firstly, we had the Chef Yama signature recommendation dish “Salmon Belly Osaka Sushi” RM28.80 – Salmon Rice Osaka with sushi rice in garlic and onion flavor. The sushi platter appearance gives a very stunning impression at first glance, while the food itself is a long and huge “Wooooow” shoutout from us, just way too many stuff lingering around our mouth right after taking a whole bite and leave us speechless for a few minutes (we actually just described how good this sushi really is)! 😉 If traditional sushi is simple and awe-inspiring (fresh seafood and vinegar rice), then the fusion sushi is the symbol of grand and elegant (more intense and unique flavor from a various mixture of sauces).
Chicken Katsu Don, 23.80 ringgit The Chicken Katsu Don/ Rice Bowl was yummy! I’d certainly order this dish again. You’d get a generous portion of crispy, tender chicken fillet + egg and caramelized onions. There was some sort of gravy that came with the rice, that gravy was a delicious blend of sweet and spicy which made the dish even better. If you fancy a dish that is flavorful and filling, do consider this Katsu Don.
Yasai Omu Curry Rice at MYR 19.80 nett (inclusive of 6% SST). Yasai (野菜) means vegetable so there are potatoes, pumpkin, okra and carrots in this meal. Omurice refers to rice wrapped in an omelette. My friend says this dish is tasty and I guess the Curry is on the sweet side since my friend does not take spicy food.
I went for the cold green tea soba tempura at MYR 11.13+ (6% SST = MYR 11.80 nett). The green tea taste is strong and nice. The way to eat this is to mix the spring onions, daikon, seaweed into the cup of mirin soy sauce and then dip the cold soba into the sauce before eating it.
On that day, we went to Sushi Zanmai, Starling mall for lunch. I ordered a small bowl of Tempura soba for MYR 13.96 nett. There were only two pieces of tempura - a prawn and a piece of brinjal. Other than this, I also ordered my usual avocado sushi (MYR 2.64 nett - two pieces).
Shin Roasted Salmon Nigiri (RM12) Roasted salmon sushi with 5 different toppings each. The salmons were thickly cut and were incredibly fresh. The sushi rice was lightly seasoned with vinegar so it didn't cover the great taste of the sashimi. Basically, every bite of it was a mouthful of satisfaction.
Being the only more respectable Japanese restaurant in this mall certainly has its perks. As the restaurant is fairly small, the waiting line is understandably long during dinner hours. Do you prefer to pick your sushi off the kaiten belt or made to your order? I do prefer the belt but the latter guarantees the food is freshly made (sometimes). While their prices is still relatively affordable, the portion size has indeed shrunk. But at least the quality is still top notch.
Their food is always up to mark and even exceeds it for the price I pay. The ingredients were always fresh.
The overall bill? Cheaper than expected and without the GST, what an eat!
Probably one of the more affordable Japanese restaurants in town. 3pcs of the サケ腹 Taro Salmon is at rm$7.90 and not bad!
The take-away Sushi were all made fresh made-to-order, and was good even for take-away, nice!
Sanma is one of the most prominent seasonal foods representing autumn in Japanese cuisine and is usally grilled with salt.
Ordered the Chuka Kurage to be mixed with the Sashimi Salad, Interesting combination! Not bad, not too good, its a choice I made.
What do We Like about Sushi Koi, Taman Paramount? -Tasty set lunch came with many side dishes -Quiet environment to enjoy the lunch
The Ebi Tempura Cha Soba for dinner wasn't too bad, nor great. The restaurant was empty at 7pm this evening!
For those who which to eat affordable yet quality sushi, don’t hesitate to pay a visit at here as it is really worth the price and save your wallet from being injured badly. :D
Seriously. Where can you find salmon sashimi at RM3 for 3 fine slices? どこ?どこ? (doko? doko? Where? Where?) At Sushi Flash. It’s the new sushi place in SS15, Subang Jaya, located on the same ro…
The latest 3 Japanese restaurants are all in USJ10 and are all crowd pullers especially Yosen buffet Shabu Shabu and Shin Zushi.
Surprising the take-away isn't as bad as imagined except for the Chawanmushi.
和食 Washoku offers 5 variants of Salad from em$10.90 to rm$13.90, all with Ice-Plants with different sauce. Ai like today's choice but the Avocado Ice-Plant Salad should be good as well.

Dining in mid-range to high-end Japanese restaurants with exquisite dining can be truly enjoyable, but at the same time putting a strain on our budget. We admit that we can’t afford Japanese fine dine frequently, but this doesn’t mean that we have to stay away from it. Instead, we constantly check out for more affordable, yet equally satisfying Japanese food to fill our craving.
