The prawns were huge and fresh. And the soup had a proper kick. It was so yummy and addictive.
Gai yang was delicious. It seemed that the restaurant is known for this dish and the bird didn't disappoint. Meat was pretty tender and the marinate was quite tasty.

Anyway, it was awesome, as it was salty, spicy, and earthy, going perfectly with the raw veggies as alternating bites.

Overall our lunch at the new Thanying Thai restaurant at Amara Hotel was mostly positive. The decor might have changed but we were glad that the good, friendly service has remained.
The interior is brighter now with a seating capacity for 128 people and 2 brand new private rooms.
Thanying is one to visit for a special occasion or if you fancy having Thai food in a nice dining ambience.
No doubt the price here is higher than normal Thai restaurant, but considering the quality that Cha Thai served you, it is definitely worth your money. Cheers!!
All in all, I have to complement the owner & chef for making me reminisce the land of smiles, so dearly.
The casual, comfortable ambience, fantastic service, and delicious authentic Thai food, albeit at a higher than usual price, still makes Cha Thai worth visiting. I'm planning to return!

Kin Cow might not be the fanciest of places nor serve the fanciest food, but there is a non-pretentious allure that is hard to beat.
You can get a good beefy meal at Kin Cow; and if your dining companion is not mad about cow there are sufficient non beef dishes to keep him happy for a few repeat visits.
While there are some areas that require improvements—more service staff, get rid of the smell of turpentine, and portion sizing–the food is spot-on delicious.
I can’t think of a reason I’d bring anyone here; I won’t bring my family, date, or friends from overseas. But if a Singaporean vegetarian friend suggests to have a friends’ gathering here to accommodate their vegetarian diet, then yes I would return.
Overall, dining experience here was very good, in terms of quality of food at reasonable prices and the lovely ambience; don't expect too much out of the service though.
The thing that I liked the most about it was how surprisingly smoky it all was. The thing that I liked the least about it was how surprisingly tangy (read: sweet) it all was.
