What do We Like about Purple Cane Tea Cuisine, The Gardens Mall? -Tea infused soup served in a tea pot and drink with tea cup -Variety of set meals to choose from
One of the signature for the restaurant is this Black Tea Curry Lions Mane Mushrooms. The curry is not too thick, yet you would easily need to bowl of rice for this. So easy to eat, super mild spicy with mild creamy. Instead of santan the replace it with Almond milk.
This looks nice doesn't it? It even has two large pieces of Huai Shan (淮山 - wild yam) which I thought was daikon until I bite into them.
Pumpkin fried rice with a new look and more ingredients such as broccoli and crackers but less cubes of pumpkin at MYR 15.80 nett. Won't order this next time because I prefer more cubes of pumpkin.
My lunch - assam laksa at MYR 12.90 nett. The broth is very tasty I must say - full of various spices which I cannot identify. My mouth does not feel that it is spicy but my stomach was burning when I finished eating this dish.
As I don't think I have ordered this Brown Rice with Pumpkin dish before, I had it this time at MYR 12.90 nett. The Brown Rice turned out to be fried rice with organic vegetarian soy sauce which is quite fragrant. As the rice has been stir fried with soy sauce, I could not tell whether it is Brown Rice as stated on the menu or not. With the soy sauce I find the rice to be very flavourful. I would prefer it to be just plain Brown Rice with more cubes of pumpkin and more vegetables on the side. Nevertheless I may have this dish again should my friend decides to eat here next time.
I ordered the multigrain lontong dish. It has half a hard boiled egg, long beans, cabbage, brinjal, carrot, tempeh, glass noodles and about 7 cubes of compressed rice made from multigrain rice so it is not as soft as the rice cubes in the lontong that I have eaten at Ole Melaka, DC Mall and AMAH, the Sphere. The curry is creamy, not that spicy so it is suitable for me but it is more on the sweet side (I prefer it to be less sweet). I kept half for dinner.
My bowl of organic black bean soup (with no black beans in it) with lots of ingredients - bean curd paste, carrots, mushrooms, vegetables with the noodle of my choice at MYR 16.90 nett. I selected brown rice mee suah and kept half of it for dinner as they serve quite a big portion of the noodles. The soup is very flavourful without any MSG because I do not feel thirsty at all after drinking all the soup.
Lately I have been eating at vegetarian specialty eateries because my co-workers wanted to eat there and I am ok to eat there once in a while. This time, instead of BMS Organics, we went to Simple Life because my friend felt like having their Organic Black Bean Soup that she had tried before.
