Their cafe interior is quite well-organised and is so modern and chic with walls and simple decorations which makes it super instagrammable.
Harga menu-menu di sini kira okay laa, standard laa harga Cafe lain. Tempat pun di tengah bandar. Selesa dan sangat sesuai lee kalau korang nak gather-gather gan kawan dan family. Cuma pilihan menu aje tak banyak choice. So far okay laa..boleh cuba.
The cafe gets really busy during peak hours, so make sure you go early to avoid disappointment.

While the outside of the cafe seemed pretty ordinary, the design of it's interior is impressive and so so very pretty.

This is an inconspicuous and retro café in Jalan Tan Hiok Nee. Bev café can be said is a café that unlike a café. Why do we say that? Because at the moment you open the door, what you can see is not the customer sitting at the table enjoying their coffee, but exquisite clothing.
Seating is pretty limited with narrow walkways however I would say that the ambiance are not too bad. With a packed Saturday afternoon, we were ushered to the seats by the windows looking out to a big tree as well as the opposite shop houses.
Bev C is a clothing label, with the name derived from duo founders Beverly and Cally in 2013. At first glance, one would have expected this two-storey shophouse to be a home grown fashion brand bea…
Hung Kitchen is a family oriented, budget friendly Western restaurant with unique kampung ambience.
Cheese and Ham Chicken Chop – grilled chicken with black pepper gravy and french fries served with coleslaw. The chicken was tasty especially with the black pepper sauce.
Total meal was RM22.00. Overall is a generous portion and wallet-friendly meal. The waiting time is less than 10 minutes and the foods served were still warm. As I observed, their gravies are pre-made and they just need to drizzle or pour over the foods according to customers’ order. Nevertheless, it is still a good bargain for a cheap meal, don’t you think so? I will be back for the affordable meal if I am back to JB.
This cafe was awarded the "Best Chicken Chop in Malaysia" title by The Star newspaper in 2003. They even put it up outside their shop. Not very humble, eh? haha
Overall, we found both the chicken chops at Hua Mui and IT Roo to be good. Hua Mui’s offering was juicy and tender and served with good wedges, while IT Roo’s chicken chop was slightly larger with a much tastier sauce. IT Roo also offers grilled chicken chops in addition to the deep-fried variety.
I will return at an earlier timing next time so that I can check out the rest of the interesting coffee beverages like Holy Grape, Mocha Fantasy etc.
We enjoyed the notes of blueberry and orange peel acidity in our Ethiopian Hari Suke handpour. The accompanying cup of ground beans was a nice touch to tease the nose before tatalising the tongue.
Today I’ll be talking about yet another one of those cafes that fall under the ‘Instagrammable Cafes’ category, and it is none other than Tropique Cafe & Restaurant (Taman Ekoflora, Johor Bahru). Serving up fantastic food, this was a place where I had a really pleasant experience.
Tropique Café & Restaurant instantly ranks high on the value-for-money scale because of the exchange rate between Malaysia Ringgit to Singapore Dollar.
Overall, despite this being a creamy pasta dish, it was not too heavy so we loved this!
I always get the taste, feel and smell of expensive restaurant food in Brian's humble eateries.
We love the warm chocolaty bitter sweet filling and the sweet cake.
Designed as a family-friendly café with a no-frills approach, Big Bro 2 has earned many fans with many becoming regulars. Some, like me, even travel from across the city to dine there!
The dishes we tasted today were delicious. I suggest checking out Eugene's Grocery's set lunches for best value.
They don’t call wagyu the “Rolls Royce” of beef for no reason, and Eugene’s Grocery wanted diners to try the variants of wagyu so that we can compare the nuanced tastes side by side.
A main highlight of Eugene’s Grocery is their beef, imported from countries such as USA, Australia, New Zealand and of course, Japan.
Time to bid farewell to one of the best cafes in JB that has always been a crowd favourite among locals and tourists, People and Places Cafe.
Last but not least, we have the Quesadilla Brekkie. Not something that i would order but was recommended
Don’t miss out on their coffee either, with their blends changing seasonally.
I tried the Matcha Tiramisu which replaces the chocolate with matcha. Worth a try if you are a matcha fan.
gCafe is located at the new shop houses off Jalan Mutiara Emas Utama, a few doors away from 8 Days Hotel in Mount Austin.
The decorating concept of gCafe is based on solemn industrial style design, yet subtly remaining a warm atmosphere. Wall is without too much modification, to restore the original appearance.

JJ Wine & Tapas Bar is a place worth considering for your special dates like Valentines, anniversaries and celebrations. The range of wines and liquor is among the top in Johor. There are many good dishes to enjoy with your drinks. 4-star dishes which I especially enjoyed are the char grilled NZ lamb cutlet and Australian wagyu steak.
The newly refurbished JJ Wine & Tapas with its modern baroque aesthetic deco portrays an elegant yet sophisticated ambience which is enhanced by a tint of European flair. The bar has a kitchen and serves bistro tapas style dishes created by Chef Revelino who has gained his culinary experience in Australia. The dishes have been designed to complement the wine selection while also cater to customers who prefer to have food with their wine.
As a frequent customer of Restaurant Lemon Tree, I would like to summarise my favourite lunch meal in Restaurant Lemon Tree.
island seafood pizza , ini sangat lah highly rekomen by me. ain suka betul pizza ni
Chicken & Corn Rice (鸡吃玉米饭) - RM16.90 Nice choice for children who loves corn and chicken!
You know, it is my policy not to recommend any place which I am invited but The Sunbird Cafe in Johor Jaya, Ros Merah is one place which I would gladly, quickly return to pay for my own food and recommend it to you. I especially love their unique chendol cheesecake and Brazilian coffee.
I'm not a fan. I'm easy to please when it comes to aglio olio but this pasta tastes 'empty'. It has not much flavour except for MSG. Suffice to say, I wouldn't come here for main meals again. I have tried cakes at SDS before and they are passable. Not great but not terrible either.
FANPEKKA Cafe is SDS's 26th outlet offering bakery products and a wide variety of Asian, Fusion and Western dishes at an affordable price. Inspired by Finnish food, it launched new menu with more meatballs, salmon, potatoes and pies selections.
OLEG is a contemporary casual eatery serving burgers, waffles, small bites, snacks, cold drinks and coffee. They have stalls at City Square, AEON Tebrau City and AEON Dato’ Onn. We enjoyed ourselves at OLEG. Hip comfortable casual ambiance, convenient locations, tasty food at reasonable prices.
We ordered one of their top 10 recommended food which is O’Crispy Rice and its price is RM12.90. It is a curry chicken chop with rice. When we ate, we feel like it is totally different with what our thought. We expected that its taste would like Japanese curry with rice but it was like normal curry chicken chop with rice. The curry is a bit spicy from our expectation but its chicken chop is crispy and inside there still have an half boiled egg. Overall rating: 6/10
Our hosts took us to Kuching Style Restaurant to taste their Sarawak Kolo Noodle.
Traditionally, local bars were drinking establishments which placed little emphasis on the serving of food. Another depressing thing about gastrobars is the lack of imagination; the way, as concepts, they invariably conform to a formulaic kind of low-key gentrification. By nature, different people w…
We split the two loaded (with Masala Lamb) skewers among the four of us to enjoy the delightful taste of minced and marinated New Zealand lamb, charcoal grilled to perfection and served with side of yoghurt mint aioli.
