The reviews I read on their Facebook Page seem pretty mixed of late with complaints of either the long wait for a table, the service or they didn't fancy the type of food served. As far as the food was concerned, I had no complaints on the two we tried that morning. Not only did it taste good, it was beautifully plated as well. In fact, their version of french toast is the best version I've had so far. I actually liked that their menu is a bit more creative than the usual cafe food we get elsewhere but if you're looking for some variation of a big breakfast, you won't find it here. So, patrons looking for the standard breakfast fare of bacon, ham, sausages and eggs done any way, let me forewarn you that you might be up for some disappointment. Our half an hour wait, during peak brunch hours on a public holiday, was more than acceptable for a place like this with so much awareness. Due to the crowd, even the owner cum chef helped cleared tables and served us, so I'm pleased with the service. When we left a little over an hour later, there was still a perpetual queue (but none at the other eateries). So, what does that tell you about its popularity...or their food? ;) Personally, I would return in a heartbeat. I would so love to try more of their food...and eat that french toast again! ^o^

Greyhound Cafe - Mid Valley Restaurant

Moving next, we had the Christmas-on-Fire Spaghetti with Turkey Meatballs (RM32). The meatballs are made from turkey and then it is then fried till crispy perfection and topped together with the freid garlic and chily. The al-dente pasta paired with the boucy juicy meatballs were just good and whats more with the kick of spiciness that comes with it.

One of our favorite dishes from their festive menu is the Tom Ka Rice with Sun-Dried Beef Strip and Som Tam (RM36). The beef strips are first marinated, hung out to air-dry, then deep fried and is served with a tangy, spicy tomato jaew sauce. It's like beef jerky but meatier, slightly chewy and absolutely delicious. This also comes with a green papaya salad (som tam) and aromatic Thai-style galangal rice pilaf cooked in coconut milk.

Greyhound Famous Fried Chicken Wings RM18 Greyhound Famous Fried Chicken Wings , one of our favourite Thai street snacks. Thai chicken wings appear to be drier and smaller in size but it is amazingly good with the extra crispy, golden brown outer layer laced with umami-ness of fish sauce, and tender meat locked with juiciness.

What determines a good pizza can be really subjective but I find myself growing fond of light crust and rich fresh toppings, and Proof Pizza and Wine at APW, Bangsar happens to fit into most of the things I seek in a pizza dining experience. Cosy yet lively, the tiny space accommodates no more than an estimation of 35pax at a time so reservation is very highly recommended. I walked out with disappointment several times before but if air conditioner is not mandatory in your life then perhaps Al fresco would give you another unique experience.

Tasty dish, flavourful and without MSG (because I did not get thirsty after eating this dish). Kept half of it as usual.

Naj Big Breakfast, 35 ringgit. This was delicious. You would get a generous amount of scrambled egg (comes in 3 options: scrambled, fried or poached) + mushrooms + beef bacon + chicken sausage + spinach + baked tomato + potato + a slice of sourdough. All the items on the dish tasted awesome, loved every bit of it. It certainly was a hearty breakfast with this dish, I just wish it was not as pricey as it was though. I cant think of another eatery that cost me 35 ringgit for a big breakfast.

My conclusion: Jamaica Blue offers decent food at a competitive price. Their coffee is simply one of the best especially their signature blend coffee and the price point is definitely cheaper than those mainstream brand like 'S' and 'TCB'. Other than Mid Valley, they have four more branches in Klang Valley, one in Seremban, one in Johor Bahru and one in Kuching, Sarawak.

This hot drink is a hot chocolate as it is using white chocolate case and adding a hit of blue curacao syrup to give it a vibrant colour. So that's why it is blue Latte. Once I taste it, it is so sweet. In my opinion, it is very suitable for those people who love sweet and it will make you smile and happy always. I ordered the multigrain lontong dish. It has half a hard boiled egg, long beans, cabbage, brinjal, carrot, tempeh, glass noodles and about 7 cubes of compressed rice made from multigrain rice so it is not as soft as the rice cubes in the lontong that I have eaten at Ole Melaka, DC Mall and AMAH, the Sphere. The curry is creamy, not that spicy so it is suitable for me but it is more on the sweet side (I prefer it to be less sweet). I kept half for dinner.

Once i awhile, i like to order this, a side of fries, and bottomless ice lemon tea, and of course sharing it with someone, the salad portion is huge… So good… Grilled chile-rubbed chicken breast, house-made pico de gallo, fresh diced avocado, cilantro, crispy tortilla strips with house-made Ranch dressing & a drizzle of spicy Santa Fe sauce.

Premium Chai Latte (RM14) This almond milk chai latte has got to be THE BEST CHAI LATTE in KL, and that's a bold claim. Unlike the usual almond milk you get in the market, their almond milk is thick and creamy and doesn't get separated or sedimented if left for a while. They retain their thick and creamy texture throughout the serving and I was really impressed. As for the chai, there was no other way to describe it other than being utterly flavourful. And it is not for no reasons as they were incredibly generous with their spices, and the perfect blend of different spices created an impeccable aroma that puts all other chai lattes to shame! If there's one thing you must try from this cafe, make it this one!

The Bangkok Salad (RM22) was also big in flavour and texture.
