♥Verdict: QingHeGu didn’t quite live up to my expectation because I’ve read quite many good reviews about this place. Food was pretty average and the variety of Banchan was merely satisfying as well. Revisit? Probably not.
We ordered the Galbi or pork rib (RM40 for 280g). The rib is imported from Spain and is marinated for 24 hours in their special sauce. This is lovely – the meat was soft, tender and flavourful. The marinade is sweet-savoury and tasted sorta like low-key char siew. It caramelises particularly well on the charcoal fire.
Solaris is indeed an area that is well known for Korean food, As You Like Hong Kong Chicken Pot is one of the latest Chinese cuisine operating in this area. A brand that hail all the way from Hong Kong that operates their first outlet in Malaysia with remaining 5 in Hong Kong. I find that the cuisine is a perfect addition to the area which is lacking off. Something like steamboat but it is not. A Little summary would be a cuisine of a cross over of China Sze Chuan in Hong Kong Style.
The Spicy Seafood Hot Pot (Haemul Jeongol) @ RM70 was absolutely delicious and we could not stop drinking the soup. It was rich, slightly spicy and very flavorful after being infused with the natural sweetness of seafood. The price might be a little high but we did not mind that at all because we thoroughly enjoyed it.
It isn’t easy coming up with the best place for Korean BBQ in Solaris Mont Kiara but Ola! Korean BBQ Garden in Soho KL is easily one with a good grill that delivers native tastes to the many Koreans here in Mont Kiara. On top of the wide range of meat that’s perfect for any barbequing occasion, classic Korean ala carte dishes are available.
Good stuff from this outlet as I have return another round a month after and still do not mind to go back. Food Rating 8/10, great lamb skewers and special spice dip~ -Stamped-
Not exactly a hidden gem, Hwang Hae Korean BBQ restaurant in Solaris Mont Kiara is already quite an eye catching one with their strategic location. For the ultimate Korean barbeque (BBQ) in town, there is certainly no other place but Mont Kiara. Solaris Mont Kiara is home to many awesome Korean restaurants, but if you’re salivating for some sizzling spicy ribs that come with blankets of melted cheese and those piping hot meats, you are in the right place. Apart from those skewers that have been circulating on social medias, Hwang Hae also have this Grilled Back Ribs with Cheese (Cheese Deunggalbi Gui, 치즈등갈비구이) that is obviously strictly for sharing. Cheese lovers, look no further. Dine comfortably and have fun pulling and stretching those cheeses.
总的来说,这对我们来说是一顿美味的晚餐。缺点是我发现很难与员工沟通,而我们的Banchan不是在我们订购了食品后才送达的,我等了大约10分钟之后,就得向员工索取
Overall, it was a good birthday celebration for us. Delicious food, good service and reasonable price for the big portion.
In summary, we really enjoyed our meal here! We found the meat to be fresh and wonderfully marinated and enjoyed the many free condiments, vegetables and sauces that come with it.
Overall, it was a super good buffet for us. Even 2 hours is more than enough for us as we are small eaters. By the time we reach 3rd round, we are full. Hahahaha!! The staffs are efficient in changing the griller once it turns black. Good Job guys but you guys should also be active in refilling the Veggie for the customer. By the time we reach our 3rd round, the veggies are no longer refilled. Such a pity!! We need veggie to eat together with the meat. Hope, you guys improve on it!!
Duk So Nee’s BBQ buffet costs RM35.90/pax (price increased after our visit) and you are given 2 hours to enjoy as much as you can. A RM20 fee is imposed for wasting food but that wouldn’t really be a concern.
One of the Korean restaurant chains that is still getting much love as ever is the Palsaik Korean BBQ restaurant. So what makes Palsaik Korean BBQ different from the other Korean BBQ restaurants? The answer lies in the unique 8-colour pork barbecue! The menu is also relatively simple, it comes in a wide spread of two-page menu, where you could opt for the set you preferred. We ordered the premium set which featured the signature 8-colour pork barbecue, grilled deodeok (Lanceolate) root and premium kimchi. We also had an additional trooper soup at the side while we wait for the barbecue pork to be ready.
For a place that’s flooded with Korean BBQ, it’s nice to see a nice yakiniku joint such as Yazawa BBQ Dining at Solaris Mont Kiara. In fact, we always noticed groups of Japanese eating here whenever we passed by the restaurant – that’s always a good sign.
I was told that it taste much better at Korea, however I think this is good enough for me as I have never tried the one in Korea like many of you out there. Meat marination is decent as we now have another new Korean BBQ franchise chain that have just landed that offers similiar concept is Shimapo. Will try that out soon. Food Rating 7/10, favourite street snacks~ -Stamped-
