The 9ine by Jackie Wong recently opened its doors on Kek Chuan Road in Penang. Amid much glamour and splendor at its grand opening last night, we savored an eight-course dinner around the flavors of Modern European cuisine.

Market Fish Risotto was another dish with pleasant surprises... the Fish was beautifully cooked with a tacky crisp skin... it was reasonably seasoned as well. But the real draw of the dish was the Risotto, unlike traditional creamy ones, Chef Jackie's rendition comes with a refreshing tropical tone... evidently seen from the addition of Pineapples and Apples, apart from the sweet Vegetables (like Asparagus and Carrots). There were many things going on with just a bite, it can be an addictive dish.
