Although the crust looked a little pale, the savory pies are greatly enjoyed by the young and elderly. The colonial pork pie and the curry chicken pie with a little bit of spicy heat are popular choices.
The noodle dish has the quintessential flavor, as well as heaps of ingredients like Shrimps, Vege, Pork and loads of Deep Fried Pork Lard. Together with Sambal, the dish was tummy-filling and satisfying at the same time. Not that it was outstanding but more than decent enough for a usual lunch fix.
We decided to go for the classic Cantonese dish - Char Hor Fun (RM 7.90) after saw it is being put as one of the recommended dish. It was a good choice indeed. The Char Hor Fun comes with a decent wok scent along with an aromatic egg in the starchy gravy. If we were to give a rating, it would be one of the above average taste Char Hor Fun we tasted in Penang.
We were told that it’s fried plate by plate, no wonder each plate tastes so rich and good.
