The last round when I visited Restoran Chua Kee was 10 over years ago. I can vividly remember rushing into Johor Bahru from Tuas 2nd Link after our working hours and have a 1 hour quick journey up into Gelang Patah for this Cze Char. During then, the restaurant was not renovated and we have to kind of dining on the side streets on the road pavement but today the dining area is sheltered.

Our research showed that this BBQ Chicken Wing is a must-try dish in Chua Kee. The chicken wings were deep fried then coated with honey and barbecue sauce, definitely an excellent beer food.

虽然不贵，螃蟹却很新鲜，肉质扎实肥美，配上浓郁的黑胡椒酱，香喷喷热腾腾的，很赞！

Food at Restoran Chua Kee is typical Chinese Zi Char, with a focus on fresh seafood. The menu is extensive, well worth repeat visits.

Our total bill adds up to RM $101.55 (SGD $35). We thought the price was pretty decent and we had a hearty meal. Guessed we will revisit Gelang Patah again to go for more food discovery.

Food wise, nothing too outstanding but every reviews I’ve read raved about their signature black pepper crab, seem like I have to pay a revisit to judge it myself.

A long time Gelang Patah local favourite which also draws customers from Johor Bahru and Singapore. This is a good place for crab dishes.
