Overall, not a memorable banana leaf lunch. Flavors were muted and lacked the robust punchiness that I often associate with good Indian cooking. The only good thing that I take away from Curry Leaf was that refreshing mango lassi.

Ambiance: 6/10 Price: 6/10 Food: 6.5/10 (pork free) Verdict: Pretty good banana leaf rice. Try the mutton vindaloo while you’re at it.

All in all, we enjoyed every single dish we had, albeit I thought some could have been spicier. At Curry Leaf, the prices are reasonable, food portions are of a good size, place is clean and there’s nothing to fault on their service. So, I don’t see any reason not to eat here, well except maybe for the horrendous parking on weekdays.

In a nutshell, Curry Leaf has blessed us ignorant KL and PJ folk by expanding to Uptown and letting us have the chance to experience their wonderful food that has been kept hidden away in Seremban for the last 10 years! While it's okay to come here and have a simple meal of banana leaf rice, I'd recommend coming with a few friends to have proper meal complete with some of the dishes mentioned above. Trust us; you won't leave here disappointed! We're already planning our second visit...

On the whole, this is definitely a great place for good Indian food in Damansara Utama. They also have a private dining hall upstairs. Most of their dishes are good except for a few that could have been better. Our total bill today came to RM 29.50 including the drinks which is quite decent for the number of dishes we had and the locality of the restaurant. Apart from improving one or two of their dishes, I would say that they are doing an excellent job here. Definitely a good neighbourhood Indian restaurant.
