XO Claypot Fish Head Noodles This is their in-house signature dish. Fresh fish head fried into pieces and served together with thick vermicelli. The soup tastes savory as it is cooked with salted vegetable, tomatoes, yam slices and Tofu. Not to forget also the XO sauce that blends inside the soup.
It was quite a surprise encounter when I learnt that the iconic place where I had the glorious fish head noodle in Petaling Jaya previously , has now came up uphill to titillate the global taste buds with its toothsome heritage- Goon Wah Fish Head Noodles.
Besides Claypot XO Fish Head Noodles, the items that we were served at the recommendation of the restaurateur included Fried Pork Maw, Pattaya Tofu and Lobster Balls.
Super love the bubbling hot and aromatic broth. Fried fish meat is reasonably sized and the taste is superb as always. There are actually tomato chunks and salted vegetables somewhere inside that pot but they are not visible in the picture. I can see ourselves frequenting this outlet again and again as it is such a satisfying comfort meal on a cold, cold day.
