From the moment I walked into SkyAvenue Mall I was baffled over the shopping opportunities and dining choices. I’ve never been to a mall like this in Asia before. With more than 100 retails options, SkyAvenue is a haven for shoppers. You can get everything ranging from your everyday needs to exquisite jewellery, timepieces, shoes and gadgets. And even if your not a shopper or a foodie, you’ll always stay entertained.

全新的云顶Sky Avenue主要系吃货嘅美食天堂,林林总总嘅餐厅真系一时间唔知道如何抉择,废话少讲,立刻展开我的美食旅程,开餐咯~~~
It’s already been a year since I last visited Sky Avenue, GH’s lifestyle mall, when I went up for a media review of their restaurants, Burger & Lobster, Motorino and Cafes Richard. It was pretty empty back then; the concourse area wasn’t even open. Since then, the mall has welcomed a over 70+ tenants, from F&B outlets to clothing and luxury goods, as well as entertainment outlets, gaming centres, members club, casino, and more.
A lot of people talk about The Laughing Fish by Harry Ramsden and in particular the Fish and Chips. So we had to try it of course. We chose the Cod for the fish and it was fresh and crisp.
Verdict: I can’t say it’s a perfect meal as I’ve had a better lamb belly pot elsewhere but the porridge was more than decent. If you’re in Genting Highlands and need some comfort food, I reckon the porridge and double boiled soup can be an ideal option.
My thoughts on Five Guys? Despite reviews calling it overpriced and overrated, I think the burger is something worth trying. Of course, this is purely my personal opinion/taste: I know there are many who say that brands such as KGB or even local joint MyBurgerLab offer better gourmet burgers. But for me, Five Guys is a pretty decent food option in Genting Highlands.

Overall, we were impressed by the food at C Chuan Village at Sky Avenue Genting Highlands
For mains, we had Truffle Cream Pasta and Sous Vide Chicken with Abufeira Sauce (an additional top up of Rm 20 was required). The former one was good, the Pasta was beautifully cooked with al-dente texture and expertly coated in creamy, rich sauce. The Truffle flavor was apparent and bold, a pretty good Truffle-infused Pasta dish.
Saya merasa sangat gembira berpeluang melihat semua yang ada di sana, memang best! Next visit mungkin saya akan masuk ke Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium pula..
Avocado Toastie for me - grilled sourdough with smashed avocado, tomato and feta crumbs. I've tried avocado toast in many cafes due to my diet and I think the price is somewhat reasonable (it's Genting after all).
My personal favourite catch there is the light and flaky Cod (regular RM40, large RM48 & legendary RM58). Served piping hot, the slab of imported Atlantic cod comes coated in airy-light, crisp batter with a pile of thick-cut, double-cooked chips.
My personal pick of the lot is Chicken N Waffle (RM24), one of best selling items Ed’s Diner is famous for. The savoury and sweet profile combo of deep-fried chicken with crisp vanilla waffles and honey hit the spot for me.
