One Prawn and Co 12 Course Seafood Grill Dinner review, Omakase in a Coffee Shop Singapore, Fine Dining in A coffee Shop, Dinner Service at One Prawn
Chef Jeremy Nguee returns this week with a recommendation for excellent prawn noodles by, to quote their website, a band of young and passionate individuals determined to keep the Singaporean cult…
The soup seems to have become smoother and richer from when they were at Golden Mile, sweet, prawny, and very drinkable. Neither Singaporean nor Penang – a savoury sweet style of its own.
Best of all, prices are kept so affordable.
Fried Hokkien prawn mee used to be the main dish I ordered most frequently until my decision to restrict and severely cut down on carbohydrate intake for stuff like rice, noodle and bread.

Promising young Hokkien Mee hawker. Andre really gives his Hokkien Mee a good char before adding the stock which results in flavourful noodles which have fully absorbed the prawn stock!
Pretty good pineapple fried rice Nana has.
In the world of claypot rice, achieving the perfect rice texture is a mark of culinary excellence. Yew Chuan Claypot Rice excels in this department, ensuring that the rice maintains an impeccable texture. Say goodbye to mushy rice – here, each grain remains perfectly separate.

Richly flavoured beef braised till tender and complement with chillies, ginger and 7 spices blended in coconut milk. Shiok!
Finding authentic heritage food these days are challenging. More often than not, even if they claimed to be made with good old recipes, they are products of central kitchens.
Here I’ve highlighted eight homemade dishes (including dessert) designed to be shared with family and friends — available at Folklore exclusively from 4th to 19 February 2019.
Flying Pig serving Fried Rice Omelette with crab meat at $10 per plate.
In general, the food is acceptable but the dishes were not that tasty enough for me to make a return trip in months to come.
The first was Flying Pig's signature Omelette Fried Rice with Garlic Pork and Basil Pork. The presentation was as beautiful as advertised.
The perfect place to experience some old school Hainanese comfort food!
Mediocre steamboat and bad service, there is very little reason to be here except for nostalgic reasons and the Hainanese Chicken Rice.
The food is good, especially the chicken rice, and they will hear some things that delve a bit deeper about Singaporeans.
Our hawker burgermeisters are really giving the gourmet burger joints a run for the money by providing freshly made patties and artisan buns for the price of a fast food burger!
Even though the whole thing was dripping and perfumed with the fragrance of truffle, the patty remained dry and unjuicy. The bun was quite normal, and the fries were over-fried, resulting in a slightly charred taste. Overall a very mixed plate.
it's not bad tasting in the realm of hawker centre burgers.

It was with great anticipation that I made my reservation to eat at Lucali. After all I am a Pizza Snob and I miss my New York City Pizza so much.
I wouldn’t recommend Lucali. The food is pricy and average with limited choices.
I like the dining vibe at Lucali BYGB and I highly recommend if carbs is your favourite friend.
This time round, while the lava tarts were available; many flavors were out of stock. According to the Greatest Kon, the apple lava is a must-try. Sadly, it was already sold out. Another hot favorite would be matcha but as some of you are aware, I love matcha only if it is a beverage.
Besides their popular chocolate lava filling, Mr. Baguette also has egg custard, red velvet, cookie & cream, tiramisu, cheese, hazelnut, blueberry, white chocolate & peppermint, etc. You can try these - there is something for every taste.
If possible, eat it on the spot as having a freshly baked baguette means it is softer and easier to bite into, making it less of a messy ordeal.
Featured by various as a young chef-hawker. Springy spaghetti in thick tangy-sweet and strong tomato sauce, with wok hei and fresh seafood – mussels, clams and prawns. Quite nice this.
Chef Choo Signature serves 5 Star hotel standard Italian dishes with a Singapore flare at hawker centre prices at Golden Mile Food Centre.
Nevertheless, with the affordable price point, Chef Choo Signature certainly has a bright future ahead.
A visit back here to Zhao An Granny Grass Jelly after 9 years. It was after breakfast that I wanted some drinks and I recalled this stall that I had patronized the last round.
The taste of grass jelly feels refreshing and cooling. There's always stomach space for it after a hearty meal at Golden Mile Food Centre.
Zhao An Granny Grass Jelly offers a soothing old-school dessert that definitely tastes better than factory-made grass jelly.
Rui Hai, the 2nd generation owner, has taken over the stall from his parents more than 10 years ago. There is almost always a queue at the s...
For my love of Braised Duck, I will be back. And hopefully I will be able to enjoy Ah Xiao while dining out at the hawker centre instead of having to do a takeaway.
Ah Xiao Teochew Duck Rice is one of the most popular stalls at Golden Mile Food Centre and one of Singapore's famous braised duck stalls.
Great place for an interesting Chinese meal. There is no doubt that Chef Tonny is a master of Cantonese cuisine, but his culinary sense of adventure means that a meal here is a meal of discovery as well as enjoyment.
Overall, it was indeed a good dining experience. Their signature dishes such as Crispy Yam with Truffle Oil, Homemade Beancurd and Claypot Chicken with Chinese Wine are a must to order here.
Ambience at Tonny Restaurant is simple, rustic, but clean.
Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee has garnered many wonderful reviews over the years, so I was surprised that their prawn noodles didn’t taste as good as expected.
This is a not-bad bowl, quite satisfying, though I suspect it used to be much better in the past.
The name Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee 惹蘭蘇丹蝦麺 will almost always be mentioned when there is a discussion about the best prawn noodles in Singapore.
The various pieces of meat were in fairly large chunks or strips, were tender yet had bite, and carried some bits of fatty meat. The accompanying sliced shiitake mushrooms were superb, braised thoroughly and springy to the bite. The onsen egg was done just right in terms of softness and the molteness of the yolk.

The chee cheong fun was smooth and silky yet firm and held its shape. The mixture of peanut and sesame sauce, sweet sauce, hoisin sauce and sesame seeds, was really nice – nutty, sweet and fragrance. Very nice plain chee cheong fun.
