Fried Hokkien prawn mee used to be the main dish I ordered most frequently until my decision to restrict and severely cut down on carbohydrate intake for stuff like rice, noodle and bread.

Promising young Hokkien Mee hawker. Andre really gives his Hokkien Mee a good char before adding the stock which results in flavourful noodles which have fully absorbed the prawn stock!
Today's plate was a little dryer than the one from the week before. Still tasty.
we should all continue to support him so that he can survive and continue to work hard and improve his dish!
The texture of the Hokkien Mee was nice, slightly wet and sticky. There was also a good chao ta wok hei and garlicky prawn flavour, although the kee flavour was still quite apparent, with the stock being insufficiently infused into the noodles.
It is a heartening to see young hawkerpreneurs, and this is a stall worth trying in Golden Mile Food Centre for a good plate of Fried Hokkien Mee. My advice is to come during off-peak hours, and this serves as a note to myself as well.
Priced between $4 and $8, the prices are very competitive and reasonable. We got four fresh prawns, slices of pork belly, and curls of fresh squid in our noodles, if you’re keeping count.
Overall, this is a decent plate of hokkien mee that is way better than many places. I personally feel that the stall should improve on the chilli sauce to make it more enjoyable.
If you can, order the takeaway packet at $6 where the noodles are wrapped in opeh leaf which elevates the dish.
