电梯旁就看到这超吸引人的酒吧！这是 The Tokyo Restaurant 的一部分。 这家餐厅以和风西餐（沙拉、日式咖喱、三文治、炸鸡排、牛排、新式寿司等）及酒吧为主，午餐单点价格介于 RM22～40 之间，算是比较经济的选择之一。晚餐菜单的价格比较贵些（没记错的话应该是 RM50 起），估计这是一家很适合放工后约见面的餐厅吧？这家餐厅是训练开放期间最受欢迎的一家，几乎每次经过都满座，所以我也还没尝试过，希望很快有机会来这里喝两杯，很好奇酒吧的部分会不会有什么日式特色鸡尾酒啊！
Overall, THIRTY8 offers one of the best views of the KL cityscape. However, we found the food to be hit-or-miss. In summary – come for the view, but temper your expectations for the food.
For the meat lovers, THIRTY8 offers Australian 'Diamantina' Red Wagyu or Black Angus Beef from Stanbroke Farms. We had the rib eye (350g, marbling score 6 - RM350), which was thoughtfully sliced for sharing. Beautifully tender, melt-in-the-mouth and flavorful meat, we certainly enjoyed this and went straight to steak heaven. So so good! I'm also eyeing the Tomahawk for my next visit, very reasonably priced at RM350 for 900g.
Reasons to try afternoon tea Grand Hyatt KL: an amazing five (!) hours of feasting; some classic chocolate dishes alongside many inventive recipes; get an education with your indulgence in the interactive stations; admire incredible views as you sip, nibble and savour.
Overall, I do say this place does live up to the hype.
For example we really like this Unagi Bao RM28. Small in size, big in flavours. Spicy, succulent unagi contrasted by crunchiness of deep fried nori, flavours lifted up with salted egg crumble and julienne cucumber for a refreshing crisp that comes in just right. Served over a basket of sweet potato chips.
THE LINGUIST (MYR 30) Sautéed Prawns and Clams with Chili Linguine, Garlic and Rocket Huge and fresh prawns were spotted!
Thanks to the friendly staff for recommending this Sup Ekor. So good! A hearty portion of tummy-warming, flavourful oxtail broth, richly seasoned with a bouquet of house spices, topped with celery cress and crispy shallot.

Overall, the high cost of the meal (RM268 for 2.5 diners) wasn’t matched by the quality of food, so I don’t think I am likely to return in the near future. On the other hand, if I could get away with just having three courses of dessert, I might change my mind.
YURI / Matcha 6th Avenue Cheesecake! Priced at RM21, this is exclusively made available at The Tokyo Restaurant, Isetan The Japan Store, Lot 10. We personally prefer this to the original now as it has the right balance of sweetness together with the matcha. So velvety smooth and tasty!
When the restaurant first opened, everyone was raving about it and we thought "how good can a cheesecake be". Once we had a taste of it, we were hooked! Priced at RM20, you will get a slice of lusciously rich and creamy cheesecake with whipped cream. This decadent cheesecake is made with Danish cream cheese and is baked in a special humidity controlled oven. So delicious! For us, this is the best cheesecake we've tasted in KL!
The White Prawns (RM52)and Bluefin Leatherjacket fish (RM22) we had were very fresh and sweet. Personally, we prefer to dunk these into the milder broths (tomato and mushroom broths) to better savour the fresh sweetness of the seafood and vegetables.

During our stay, we experienced the ultra spacious, luxe Grand Executive Suite (152 sq m), the epitome of opulence and elegance. Fresh orchids greeted us as we walked through the door into our suite, and we were immediately wowed by the vastness and well-appointed, stunning interior of the suite. The residentially-styled suite comes with a bedroom with a king-sized bed, marble bathroom with separate toilet, walk-in wardrobe, a spacious living area and dining area with a pantry (Nepresso coffee machine and a large fridge/freezer). The hotel also thoughtfully arranged two single rollaway beds for the kids as well as a welcome candy bar with delicious sweet treats.
As the Prestige Rosé flowed, we mingled and savoured the Champagne and elegance of the evening. A truly memorable evening of high quality champagne enhanced by the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s superb hospitality.
I totally enjoyed the Steamed Giant Garouper with Cordyceps Flower, Stir-fried Prawns with Hawthorn Sauce, Braised Pork Knuckle with Dried Oysters & Sea Moss and who can say No to a glistening BBQ Crispy Suckling Pig?
A traditional favourite on the menu this festive season is the Steamed Clay Pot Rice with Chinese Waxed Meat. Made with Chinese sausages specially flown in from Hong Kong, this dish requires up to 45 minutes to prepare for the flavours of the vegetables, Chinese herbs and meat to infuse into the rice leaving a distinct and rich flavour.
