We truly enjoyed our afternoon at the new location of Nobu Kuala Lumpur. The food was superb, the location is a stunner, and the service was fabulous. One could easily slip into this accessible location for a bite to eat at the sushi bar, a drink at the inviting cocktail bar, a meal with family and friends, or a private meal in the 12-person private room overlooking the park. This new location has everything you would expect from the high standards of Nobu, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Overall, THIRTY8 offers one of the best views of the KL cityscape. However, we found the food to be hit-or-miss. In summary – come for the view, but temper your expectations for the food.
For the meat lovers, THIRTY8 offers Australian 'Diamantina' Red Wagyu or Black Angus Beef from Stanbroke Farms. We had the rib eye (350g, marbling score 6 - RM350), which was thoughtfully sliced for sharing. Beautifully tender, melt-in-the-mouth and flavorful meat, we certainly enjoyed this and went straight to steak heaven. So so good! I'm also eyeing the Tomahawk for my next visit, very reasonably priced at RM350 for 900g.

The Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is a beautiful 5-star hotel located smack in the middle of the Golden Triangle… Location wise, it has one of the best locations around…
During our stay, we experienced the ultra spacious, luxe Grand Executive Suite (152 sq m), the epitome of opulence and elegance. Fresh orchids greeted us as we walked through the door into our suite, and we were immediately wowed by the vastness and well-appointed, stunning interior of the suite. The residentially-styled suite comes with a bedroom with a king-sized bed, marble bathroom with separate toilet, walk-in wardrobe, a spacious living area and dining area with a pantry (Nepresso coffee machine and a large fridge/freezer). The hotel also thoughtfully arranged two single rollaway beds for the kids as well as a welcome candy bar with delicious sweet treats.
As the Prestige Rosé flowed, we mingled and savoured the Champagne and elegance of the evening. A truly memorable evening of high quality champagne enhanced by the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s superb hospitality.

Needless to say, we opted for Chili Crab with Mantou. Our crabs were mildly hot with sticky sweetness with golden crispy mantou buns on the side. There’s no better way to dive straight into this than to simply use our fingers to ensure full finger-licking sensations.

I like Rama V and intend to go back to try a bit more of their vegetarian range. Luckily work keeps providing me the opportunity to do that! However, if you’re not a guest or on expenses, it might be a little bit pricey. That said, it’s definitely worth trying.
Rama V Thai Buffet Dinner details: Availability: 13 May – 2 June 2019 Price: RM89.90 per pax (Add RM9.90 for free flow beverage)
One of the girls favourite is this Queen Suriyothai @ RM 24.85 -Gin, Lynchee liquer, yuzu puree, lemon juice, egg white, sugar syrup, basil leaf. Refreshing, intersting, sourish, with hint of sweetness yet fragrant foam egg white.
What do we like about Tatsu InterContinental? -The freshi sashimi sushi -The juicy grilled salmon -The quiet environment on a Saturday afternoon. The staff brought us to the side with lower table and it was just us throughout the lunch. The view from window was great! -The comfortable sofa seats
Overall, the sashimi, without a doubt was great and fresh. Tempura was also done well. Crunchy skin dipped into tempura sauce elevated the taste and texture.

Checked in for a short staycation in one of the hotel’s Executive Twin Towers Rooms. The room was spacious and cosy, with a warm colour scheme of beige and muted gold, and amenities geared towards business travellers such as a large work desk and multiple plug points and sockets. There was also a sofa, large flatscreen TV, mini bar, closet and safe, and a large marble bathroom complete with bathtub.
Reasons to stay at Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur: superb KL city centre hotel with incredible views; excellent club lounge also with spectacular vistas of KL; Twin Towers room; friendly professional service; good food and beverage options; well-equipped gym; fantastic location; and even if you’re not staying at the hotel, a visit to SkyBar is a must.
For the rooms with the best view, go for the Traders Club Twin Towers view rooms, which gives you a great view of the towers as well as overlook the KLCC Park. This room category also gives you access to the Traders Club Lounge for breakfast and cocktail hour.
This round we also got to try the Wantan Mee @ RM9 and I was happy to see pun fei sau (half lean-half fat) cut of char siew given without requesting for it. Not only that, the noodles also came topped with crispy chee yau char...and that's why you can taste the fragrant lard oil in the sauce that's used to toss the noodles in. It may not be among the better ones that I've had, but overall, still a decent plate of wantan mee.
A plate of nasi lemak (MYR 3.50+) and one deep fried chicken thigh (MYR 5+) making it a total of MYR 8.50+ (MYR 9 nett). The rice is soft with a tinge of coconut milk. For my friend who do not eat much sambal, the rice can be a bit dry as this stall does not have any other curry gravy to go with the rice. For those who will mix the rice with the sambal, they won't find the rice to be dry.
This time we ordered the recommended curry mee (MYR 9 nett for a regular portion) and add 1 piece of brinjal with fish paste fillings (MYR 2.50 nett); Char Kway Teow (MYR 9 nett for a regular portion) and Hokkien Mee (MYR 12 nett for a regular portion). All 4 of us shared all the noodle dishes so even though they were not the best in the whole of this country but this was a very fulfilling meal as we get to eat a bit of each dish and each dish is tasty in its own way.
I do not recommend Bo Dining. This place seems to live off of people who get more joy from sitting in a luxurious, pretentious space than actually eating great food. At Bo Dining, you’re mostly paying for the ambience and the “Instagram fee.” There are other brunch spots in the city that look nice but have much tastier food.
The food at Bo won’t blow you away, but it’s generally of a high standard and not too high a price. The ambience is pleasant and the staff are professional – we even had a party here pre-Covid, so I’m very happy to recommend it.
This is indeed my kind of favorites. The lovely plate of seafood goodness in one plate where we are enjoying the delicious XL White Clams, Octopus Tentacles, Tiger Prawns, Mussels, Tomato Seafood Soup with the Grilled Ciabatta. The dish is just so nice and seafood are superbly fresh and juicy.
One of the places which ambience I enjoy a lot would be Serena Brasserie at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur….And the chefs at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur are all ready to take you on a trip down memory lane with their nostalgic Warisan Kita spread there at Serena Brasserie, from 3 April – 1 May 2022….
