In summary, we really enjoyed our meal here! We found the meat to be fresh and wonderfully marinated and enjoyed the many free condiments, vegetables and sauces that come with it.
Salted Egg Pasta (RM32) 💟👍👍👍👍 It has the smoked duck breast, ao nori ko powder in creamy salted egg sauce & parmesan cheese. I fall in love with the salted egg pasta in the thick of creamy cheese! It shocked everyone to feel a spicy chili from this dish! It is not boring because the spicy chilies go well with salted egg sauce! So we enjoyed it very much. I must be recommended the Salted Egg paste to pasta lovers!
Verdict: We love Ichikakuya Yokohama Iekei Ramen! Soup is really nice, better if they could give more. Summergirl likes the gyoza but Summerkid doesn’t, personal taste maybe
I often forget how white I am and how many sandwiches I’ve eaten in my life compared to Malaysians. Gourmet sandwich cafes just as good as this existed on every other block back home in Toronto. They never had a queue and they were cheap to boot. Thus, VCR Stacks left me really nonplussed with their expensive sandwiches that don’t come with any sides and take an hour before you can finally sink your teeth into them. However, I understand that tasty sandwich shops are hard to find in Kuala Lumpur. In Malaysia, VCR Stacks is a novelty and the only place in the area to get these sort of ingredients, so the crowds are justifiable. The dishes we ate here were fresh and yummy, but personally, I don’t have the patience for the constant waiting that is involved with eating here again.

Overall, a lovely place for quick breakfast, as well as leisure brunch. Price wise, it is actually not-so-friendly, but still affordable and acceptable. Service is friendly, good social distancing. You might need to wait for quite a while during peak hours.
Reasons to visit VCR Stacks Mont Kiara: house-made everything including excellent sourdough; delicious coffee; a friendly and knowledgeable team who are passionate about what they do and strive to bring that same joy to their customers; and of course, hearty sandwiches worth biting into.
Overall, the cakes here are pretty good as it is moist, not too strong and dense. All the flavours we order has their own taste. Feels like it is freshly made for the day as my colleague went inside and wanted to make a take away, was told it is sold out.
Conclusion: better spend your money at a proper Japanese restaurant if your aim is to have sashimi. Off the top of my head, both Ichiro Sushi Bar and Yuzen are able to provide better value, quality and service.
If you are a Korean Fried Chicken lover, do know that Doma’s KFC is 50% off for half a chicken on every Tuesday. So Tuesdays are the best day to visit here and try the food out for yourselves.
