I came across Lin Ji Pig Leg Rice (林記猪脚饭) when they first opened at Albert Centre Market & Food Centre. I remember being captivated by the beautifully braised pig legs displayed inside the window.
The braised duck rice from Heng Gi Goose And Duck Rice at Tekka Market & Food Centre was added to my checklist years ago however, I have not gotten the opportunity to cross them out yet.
Tastewise, it is flavorful though some may find it on the saltier side. Fortunately, the coriander I added helps to cut through the richness.
Nice – refined, silky smooth and savoury.
Tender stingray covered with fragrant spicy chilli. Really nice.
The pork in the Tokachi Pork Oyako Don was tender but quite normal, and the accompanying sauce was sweet but came in such quantity that the rice became a pao fan. The egg was soft and slippery, and not bad.
