Half the reason to go to Chikin is for their Chicken. Come with an open-mind and you'll be blessed with a showing of weird odds and ends.
Overall, this is a great place to hang out be it after work or not. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from the great skewers, friendly staff, right down to the sexy interior.
The Szechuan inspired skewers will bring us back as these are the real highlights of the menu. Skip the mains dishes and go for more of the feisty sticks of meats and the Burdock chips.
To complete the experience, the menu offers a host of Japanese-inspired small plates. Don't miss the chilled sea snails enrobed in Szechuan spice (S$16), yuzu wasabi konnyaku or devil's tongue (S$10) and some carbs to finish, perhaps plentiful ikura garlic rice (S$28) or the unagi garlic fried rice that comes topped with tobiko (S$28).
