Wuhan 热干面. I have no way of determining the authenticity, but the noodles were not bad, springy, with a good sesame sauce flavour.
The whole experience at Hi Noodle was different as it was mostly on self-service, from ordering to collecting and returning of utensils. Going through the entire process without paying service charges. What a pleasant experience from them.
I haven't had reganmian very often, but it seems that Cai Lin Ji is the quintessential vendor for it in China, and fortunately they just opened an outlet down at Jurong Point (1 Jurong West Central 2 #03-56).
The white fish were really unctuous and smooth, while the tuna had a bit of a frozen taste. The uni had the texture, but was so so in terms of flavour.
Haidilao Hot Pot is keeping up with demands for its delicious hot pot with the opening of its 20th outlet in Singapore at Jurong Point.
Although it may be kind of expensive I find that the quality and taste are worth my money and to splurge on this.
Nevertheless, it is still a good experience tasting it. I will be back for other interesting stalls in the renovated Kopitiam, hopefully soon.
Not a bad nasi lemak, with quite soft and fragrant rice. The beef cubes were smoky, beefy, slightly juicy and surprising tender, unlike the tough cubes I had tasted from them at various pasar malams.
