The sio bak had crackling that was thick and shatteringly crisp. The char siew was caramelised in parts and sweet. However, the issue with the sio bak and char siew was that both were very fatty, with each piece of meat consisting mainly or only of fatty meat, making it cloying and unbalanced. The roast duck was normal, slightly tough, with thin and slightly crispy skin.
Malaysia Style Kampong Chicken is certainly a stall worth checking out, with the chicken rice and curry chicken noodles proving to be rather solid options for lunch or dinner!
