Overall, I like the new version of Sichuan Alley. I feel the dishes served are more affordable, comforting and can be enjoyed regularly. I recommend the noodles, braised beef with bamboo shoots, mini hotpot and fried pig intestines. Cheers!!
Ambience at Sichuan Alley is casual and relaxing. Styled like a traditional noodle house, the cafe-lounge is warmly lit, with traditional lanterns hanging from the ceiling.
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
a noodle shop by the folks at Szechuan fusion restaurant Birds Of A Feather.
This noodle shop is very good. The Mian Yang noodles is delicious and definitely worth trying.
I really enjoyed the rice noodle specially sourced form Sichuan, Mian Yang for its texture.
The folks at Birds of a Feather have opened up this noodle shop (51 Telok Ayer Street #01-01, 9755-1058).
I liked it, even if the use of chickpeas was a bit odd (fortunately, I like chickpeas).
Overall, Chuan Hung is a fuss free noodle house that takes pride in the food that is being served to the table and I like the flavours of the vine pepper as well as the red soup base.
