First things, first. The soup, and it was very good, in that it was the real deal.
Their sum lou hor fun has always been a favourite. I don't know if they're the better ones around these days but their rendition is still pretty tasty.
They lived up to our expectations in terms of the flavours of their food and it is not surprising to see a huge crowd patronising their restaurant during peak hours.
Personally, I find the standard at Ka-Soh Restaurant At Alumni Medical Centre dropped though overall was still considerably delicious.
The food at Ka Soh is good and they do make the effort to make all their sauces and soup stocks themselves. You will have a satisfying zi char meal there if you walked in without any expectations.
Most reviews would comment that Ka-Soh used to taste much better in the past, standard has dropped, and there are other zi char places around Singapore with similar or better quality.
Best to come here in big groups although we saw mostly couples here.
Overall, having lunch in Ka Soh Restaurant in Alumni Medical Centre was like finding ourselves on the set of an old 1970s local movie.
