Verdict: Prices are slightly on higher side but considering the comfy dining environment and sufficiently good food (though a bit of hiccup on the service), revisit is on the cards.
Fried Noodle was superb. It has a good smoky flavour that we enjoyed it. Noodle @ RM 28
Prawn and Foie Gras Toast (RM28) This was potentially the winner of the day! Innovative fusion dish that proves the chefs could do more than just traditional chinese cuisine. Delicious on its own, the creamy foie gras made a wonderful pair with the crunchy toast underneath.
The Starling Mall is fast becoming one of the more popular residential malls in Damansara Utama, thanks to its line-up of interesting tenants and eateries. To me, the draw is of course the Tang Room, the latest baby from the Oriental Group of Restaurants. With their sister restaurants – Ming Room and Han Room (and the Nobles and Orientals properties) firmly established in the F&B scene here, it’s not surprising that the Tang Room has now joined the stable.
Next, I tried the Double Boiled Seafood Soup in Baby Pumpkin with a crispy roll (RM22) per pax. This soup is packed in incredible depth of flavours. Boiled to perfection, it really warms my tummy.
