Ahhh Roketto Izakaya, what a lovely meal.
It’s really good to have a place where you can chill with enjoy some creative Singaporean dishes!
This place bills itself as "Singapore's First Automated Robotic Restaurant" (182 Cecil Street #02-01). But it was a lot less automated than it sounded.
In the day, enjoy Relish's classic burgers, pastas, and desserts; in the night, pick on bar bites and sharing plates over Japanese sakes and draft beers at Roketto Izakaya.
The Har Jeong Pork Keropok ($8.50) is quite addictive on its own.
I love the creative interpretations of Mod-Sin into an Izakaya concept.
Relish in the CBD is quite different from Relish at Bukit Timah – it is more experimental, and attempts to appeal to the probably-fussy office crowd.
To call it a place to visit once in the lifetime is probably an understatement, but it would certainly be a spot we would wholeheartedly return to another time; for that great execution, and familiarity of the cuisine that started the mod-Sin movement.
