Lotus kitchen recently opened as a slightly upscale spin off of Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant in the heart of Chinatown, promising to make gourmet vegetarian food more accessible to the masses.
Most of the vegetarian dishes here attempted to recreate meat dishes and replicate them with vegetarian alternatives as much as possible with familiar flavours, making these dishes palatable for the average diner.
菜单上包括新创菜色以及莲心素食原有的人气招牌菜,以本地风味和台式素食料理为主,共有超过50道现代素食料理。
While I'm not a vegetarian, I can see myself coming back to Lotus Kitchen for their meatless creations more often. Its accessible location and reasonable pricing are added draw to the quality food.
Vegetarian food is not my usual choice, but Lotus Kitchen has definitely changed my opinion about this. If we are looking for a casual affordable vegetarian option, this has to be it.
Vegetarian food is not just about deep fried flour items and greens.
All in all, this meal is delightful. One of the better casual dining restaurants to open lately and I think it is a place I’d return.
