Ah Er or Lao Er Herbal Soup has been popular for its rich and nourishing soup.They have gained a substantial reputation on the media in the past years.

Shun Heng BBQ is one of the stalls that we patronized in the food centre at Jurong West. Soon Heng is known for its delicious and affordable BBQ food with many outlets around.
Although the location is definitely ‘ulu’, I would really recommend making the trip here for their wok hei filled goodness.

The Playground Coffee doesn't serve the best cafe fare in Singapore, but for the relatively affordable price point, and good cups of joe that they pull, they are definitely the best cafe in the west. And, they are the only cafe that I'll return to in the west.
I can see myself returning if they were located nearer to me, but WEST IS JUST DAMN FAR.
