The food served at Thong Kee nowadays feels pretty average nowadays.
Fried Kuey Teow is average, the otak otak muffin (should stick with the standard croissant option) slightly disappointed, but coffee still good.
Finally came early enough to try the Nasi Lemak and Ipoh Hor Fun, but need to queue around 20 munites. Mei Ru likes the Ipoh Hor Fun, and Nasi Lemak is not bad as well. Might return for them, but I..
The croissant sandwich is pretty crunchy, nicely done.
Coffee here is pretty affordable at RM 2.20, and good (got my dad's approval). The croissant sandwich is good too, soft and crispy.
Not forgetting the star of the show, we ordered a few croissants to share. The texture is superb – crispy, flaky, buttery and soft on the inside. The fillings are deceptively simple – ham and egg, or a slab of butter and kaya spread – but everything comes together perfectly.
