Though the dimsum here cannot be compared with the ones at Golden Sun, but it is still acceptable. The xiaolongbao however, was a bit too dry. Still prefer the ones @ Din Tai Fung.. hahaha... Overall it was a great breakfast. Thanks for the breakfast, KHS...
It is still well known for its Paper wrapped chicken and other hakka dishes. The Yong Tao Foo does not seem as tasty before.
The service & food delivery was fast (maybe still early & not much customers yet?). The food was average, The mushrooms were soft but a bit bland, the chicken had very strong basil smell. I think Taiwanese three-cup chicken also use a lot of basil. I don't like basil so 三杯鸡 is really not my cup of tea. As for the clam soup, the clams were so small compared to Lala Chong's clams. Lala Chong's clams is their specialty though.
The food served at Thong Kee nowadays feels pretty average nowadays.
Fried Kuey Teow is average, the otak otak muffin (should stick with the standard croissant option) slightly disappointed, but coffee still good.
Cheesy Baked Rice With Mushrooms. My only gripe with this is the lack of meat. They do provide you with quite a lot of veggie and cheese to make up for it. Certainly a notch above Kim Gary's cheese baked rice.
Today's dinner choice was "江南海鲜面 Cantonese Seafood Noodle" which comes with clam, steamed fish and squids and lots of vegetables, nice but not fantastic!
The restaurant offers both vegetarian as well as meat/fish option in their menu, generally a little bit healthier option than the normal "Dai Chao".
TLDR , Zok noodle serves pretty standard above par noodels - the prawn wanton is the highlight signature of the shop. We skipped dimsum as RM6 & above per serving is pretty steep price. In all honesty, the food here is pretty much over-hyped by reviewers/blogger.
Char siew and shrimp wantan noodles RM 9.50 The noodles were totally unexpectedly good. Crunchy texture, slightly oily, it goes into my book of good wantan mee 👍Char siew was a slight letdown as it lacked the fat to make it juicy, no caramelization on the skin. The shrimp wantan is worth mentioning as these were huge with one whole not-small shrimp in it.
I ordered the Fresh Prawn Wonton Noodles as that was the reason why I was there. Mum also had the same. SIL had Vietnamese Pork Chop Noodles while Niece had the Double Roasted Meat Noodles. In addition, we also ordered a serving of Dumpling Soup to share. As expected the wontons were superbly delicious. It's the right size. The meat & prawn inside the wonton were fresh and remained its crunch!. It's totally delicious. Will definitely go back for more again!!....
Chicken meat is soft, but rice a bit too wet and sticky. I usually add salted fish. My mom don't really like it, but she didn't complain much as well. Besides claypot chicken rice, it does offer..
A small claypot chicken (RM 9) is enough for 2 person, we usually add salted fish. The lotus peanut soup is nice.
We also added a side dish which was their Pork Belly with Black Fungus and it was just awesome. Truly very authentic taste and the best version of this dish that I have tasted. 10/10 shall be my rating for that dish
If you’re in the area, do yourself a favour and just head to Foo Hing Dim Sum. At least you get decent tasting dim sum and fabulous Portuguese egg tarts.
Their Loh Mai Kai and Lotus Leaf Rice is something that you should not miss here. I find them to be really good. Very authentic flavours and huge portions. Less greasy too. My rating for both shall be 9/10
Pan fried fish ball stuffed with minced pork. Similar to foo chow balls, these had a thinner fish meat and more pork. Good stuff.
Verdict: Very average roast duck in my opinion. Don’t even bother with the char siew.
Overall, there are some hits and misses in terms of the taste of the food here. The roast duck, the fish, the seafood and the tofu are good while the other dishes are just average. Maybe we ordered the wrong food but anyhow the restaurant is always packed.
To be honest, the pork noodles here are decent and I like ‘white pork’ slices which is very popular in KK, Sabah. Other than that, I thought the pork noodles here are decent.
They do mostly pork noodle so that's what I ordered. Nothing like carbs after a strenuous HIIT session. My dry yellow and vermicelli noodle came soon enough. Boy, is it a good or a bad thing that the noodles are silky smooth from the oil? The idea here is to eat it while it's still hot. It also came with a bowl of pork meat. Thinly sliced pork belly, minced pork ball and of course, liver. This is definitely one of those generic pork soups as it didn't taste much like those or even a hint of pepper. Definitely good with the noodle.
The liver was cleaned well with just a trace of gaminess, and one can tell that the pork slices had been tenderised because they were soft with a melt-in-the mouth texture. The broth was thick with pork flavours as well. Not the best pork noodles I’ve ever had, but pretty good nevertheless. Be prepared to shell out RM9 per bowl, which comes chock full of meat.
Food is pretty okay, and the business is good as well.
The tea set of two different type of coffee and a polo bun is pretty good. Good coffee and polo bun do taste good with some kind of actual pineapple custard.
Coffee is nice. Hanainese Chicken Chop is crispy and come in large portion. Luncheon Meat Rice is okay, maybe it is a slightly healthy version. The environment is slightly dim.
Hakka Noodle (RM 7.50) comes in big portion. I like the texture and springy noodles, but the sauce is slightly sweet. The meat and wonton is alright. Coffee (RM 2.60) is good, slightly..
Hakka noodle ok.
9/10 Starss Price : Reasonable Services : Good Environment : Cozy Food Type : Chinese/Seafood Status : NON-Halal
Kuala Lumpur Puchong crab brother to provide more than 20 kinds of crab tastes, absolutely eat crab paradise Yeah
Retry this HK cafe after a while, seems to be popular with lunch crowd. I think the lunch meals are decent, yinyong coffee too much milk, and teatime items so so.
Beef brisket soup noodle. Where do I begin? With the delightful soup, the work of hours boiling away? Or the tender beef that's almost melts in the mouth? Or the noodles that are the least to look forward to. Quite a nice bowl of noodles. Not very strong with herb taste but more of the beef.
Fu Wah restaurant is an authentic Hong Kong Style Restaurant which serves a variety of classic Hong Kong cuisine. The chef has more than 40 years of cooking experience and he can make really really good egg tarts. The egg tarts here are all freshly baked daily.
Very busy around weekends lunch time, need to wait for 30 minutes. Due to lack of manpower they use a robot for delivery, which didn't help much, and need to make space for robot to roam. Hakka mee..
The portions in the outlet are smaller as compared to what we had at the Seremban outlet. It's also slightly pricier. Nevertheless, it's still good to go for a quick fix if you crave for their noodles, rather than travel all the way to Seremban. Nicholas had half-boiled eggs with kaya-butter toast.
Dry loh shi fun These may look plain but that's because I hadn't tossed them with the sauce below. Sweet and savory, the chili brought it to new heights with its spiciness.
Lunch with Claypot Lou Shu Fun (RM 8.50) is smooth, flavourful and pipping hot. The fish paste, meat ball and fujuk is so so. Hot Coffee (RM 2.60) is ok. PS: the Fish Head Noodle almost sell out by..
Found a new place where the Hokkien Mee taste good. This Restaurant K.H 20 is located in Bandar Puchong Jaya. Portion for single person is just enough. There are many "liu" in it among them are prawn, sotong, pork and most important of all is Crunchy Pork Lard. mmm....fantastic. According to the worker there, the stall rest every alternate Thursday.
Putien’s dishes can be expensive, but they are worth the splurge once in awhile. I especially love the bian rou soup, and can see myself coming back often just to have a bowl of hearty, comforting soup.
I really enjoyed the dishes from Putien, and wouldn’t mind ordering again since there are many different items I’ve yet to try on the menu. Some interesting ones include Putien Lor Mee (braised noodles), Deep Fried Pork Trotters with Salt & Pepper, Ca Fen (meesua, noodles and bihoon mix), and Sweet & Sour Pork with Lychees.
The porridge is pretty tasty with good service.
The ingredients were fresh. The seafood cheese tofu was my favourite, and the fish items like the fishballs were good too; had a nice bouncy bite to them. Soup base was decent – I think they taste pretty standard at most hotpot places.
Nothing could go wrong, right? I mean it's just soup and uncooked food. How difficult is that? Ho Kee didn't fare badly actually. The seafood was fresh and portion was substantial. The issue was with the soup. Specifically, the flavor. It was just too fishy for my liking and marred everything else. If you like Pulau Ketam style, this would be a treat for you. Otherwise, steer clear.
If you order 1 person only they set dishes cost you MYR18.90, 2 people and above is MYR16.90. Ala carte add on is about MYR6.50 - MYR16 (Regular size) Of course not included seafood, seafood is count per gram.
The noodle shop is very popular in IOI mall, mom love it as well.
Noodles were silky with a slight bite, but can be slurped easily. Chopped parsley added a hint of fragrance. Bokchoy was also thick and fat. Now I know why their outlets are so popular! Food: 9/10! Ambience: No frills, 7/10. Not for lounging around coz the shop is always busy (especially on weekends) and waiters will be eyeing like a hawk to clear your table. Service: 7/10 Price: RM10+
No more sweet and sour pork noodle, they replaced it with spaghetti. The pork sandwich seems a bit cold (the meat is cold), and they replaced the chips with french fries. Coffee still good.
Delicious as usual. My favourite is their pork noodle, followed by pork toast.
Sadly this place implemented an in premise online ordering system which pose 2 inconvenience: small pictures to visualize the food, and forced to create login with phone number to order food. Food..
