An Viet, a popular Vietnamese food joint in Malaysia has recently introduced the Beefiest Pho (also has an outlet at Gurney Plaza)... an improvised version to their existing recipe, creating a beefier version of Pho broth. This is also in line with the brand's passion to constantly enhancing existing dishes to excite their regular patrons. The broth is cooked for hours to fully accentuate the deep,beefy flavors.

Apart of Pho, Ăn Viet also serves a variety of nice Vietnamese dishes. We managed to sample Ăn Viet tasting platter, an appetizer which has Vietnamese fresh spring rolls, fried spring rolls, rice paper with green mango salad and sugar cane prawn. This is strongly recommended if you were to try all Vietnamese appetizer at one go.

Canh Chua Ngao Nước Dừa – RM14.90. Clam in Coconut Broth, the coconut broth was cooked with cherry tomato, ginger slices, chili and spring onions. The sourish and spicy soup was so tasty. In fact there is not much coconut taste in this dish. The clams were fresh and plentiful.

We are very impressed with Vietnamese Beef Noodle which came with various part of beef and it taste so good, soup taste sweet with strong beef taste, slice beef is extremely soft while beef tendon so springy.

The real deal we discovered at the restaurant is the Hanoian Style Fish with Turmeric & Dill (RM 22.55). This specialty dish originated from Cha Ca La Vong Restaurant and was named by US's MSNBC as the 5th of top 10 places you must visit before dying, and is famous til the street it is located has been renamed after it! The fish is soft, flaky and unique on its texture. If we were to compare, we would say it was something like Unagi with a nice smoky flavor. The vermicelli, when topped with the soup, fish, peanuts and herbs gave a layering of dimension to enjoy.
