Quality is not too bad at 15 Stamford if you are looking to try a Sunday brunch buffet.
Review of 15 Stamford by Alvin Leung Restaurant at Kempinski Hotel Set Lunch with pictures of menu, restaurant, food ...
新加坡首都凯宾斯基酒店(The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore)主餐厅15 Stamford by Alvin Leung,例常菜单主打厨魔梁经伦(Alvin Leung)精心构思的独特菜式,每逢星期天推出丰盛早午餐Fancy at 15 Sunday Brunch。
The dishes I had this time round are much better, and the ambience and space of the restaurant still makes it worthwhile to check it out.
The Mango Pomelo Sago with Coconut Snow ($16) is an elevated inspiration of the local "Ice Kachang" with the crowning of nitrogen coconut ice for a dramatic entry.
I was not wowed though my curiosity was definitely satisfied about 15 by Stamford. I would return for the linguine though and maybe that laksa that is so highly raved.
This luxe dish, in all its spicy, coconut cream glory, offers a savoury decadence, and the broth—quite a marvellous rendition if we may add—is flavoured using live shrimp and Chef Leung’s housemade shrimp oil as opposed to the traditional shrimp paste.
If I have to narrow my recommendation to 3 must-try dishes at 15 Stamford, I would choose the "Bak Kut Teh" Pork Chops, Beef Short Ribs Rendang, and Singapore Laksa. Go go go for it!
