this place in USJ6, which makes its 手工包 steamed buns by hand, is a gem.
Restoran Wai Kwan offers "古早味"米浆粉 old-style Chee Cheong Fun (with sweet red sauce), rm$4 "蝦米"米浆粉 dried shrimp Chee Cheong Fun, and some steamed fish balls as add-ons.
Popular savory Bao fillings are their 叉烧包 Char Siew Bao, 南乳猪肉包 Nam Yu Chu Yoke Bao, 马来糕 Ma Lai Gao, and 梅菜包Mui Choy Bao.
There are perfect to be consumed when its warm, unfortunately that doesn't work with take-aways!
opens early, non-Halal, no air-conditioning
相有海鲜茶餐室 Restoran Wai Kwan is one of 2 Chinese Dai Chao that opens for the night session in USJ 6's Subang Perdana Goodyear Court!
Settled with the Wan Ton Mee with CharSiew and added 2 chicken feet. Points below are for the Chicken Feet only! Wan Ton Mee and CharSiew were less than mediocre.
Restoran Wai Kwan cooks up a good one here at the 大炒 "Dai Chao" at night only. Comes with lots of minced meat (bit salty) plus pork lard, nice!
The Hokkien style BeeHoon and Thick Noodle wasn't as good as nearby 大炒 elsewhere in USJ.
A great steamed bun never fails to satisfy. And a proper home made one is even better.
