Conceived as an experiential haven for both connoisseurs and newbies, the 12-seater Sake Room will set the stage for immersive food and sake matching experiences; counting among its drawcard a sake from Hokusetsu, Japan that's brewed exclusively for the Nobu Group.
We truly enjoyed our afternoon at the new location of Nobu Kuala Lumpur. The food was superb, the location is a stunner, and the service was fabulous. One could easily slip into this accessible location for a bite to eat at the sushi bar, a drink at the inviting cocktail bar, a meal with family and friends, or a private meal in the 12-person private room overlooking the park. This new location has everything you would expect from the high standards of Nobu, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
The ‘Ode to Nobu’ Omakase menu is priced at RM595++ per person. The elegant 7-course menu, available until 31 October 2019
All in all, we had a lovely evening at Fuego. Come for the view — stay for the food and cocktails. We definitely recommend booking in advance to get the best seats in the house.
Reasons to visit Fuego Troika Sky Dining: beautiful setting and views; it’s always full with a happy, upbeat crowd and vibe; great Latin American-inspired menu; excellent cocktails; friendly service; they now have a third seating at 10:30 pm!
Reasons to visit Fuego at Troika Sky Dining: a chilled out late night place to relax on the weekend while sipping tequila and downing some tacos. Splendid view of the skyline and a well thought out menu. Must try the guacamole, ceviche, tacos and don’t forget the churros.
There’s no shortage of rooftop bars in KL, and I can’t see anything that makes BlackByrd stand out from all the others. We didn’t eat here, so maybe the food is particularly noteworthy. The bar food menu looks tempting and surprisingly affordable for a rooftop bar. The drinks were pleasant and what I expected from a high-class lounge like this. There was a variety of options where everyone could find something they want. I could see us coming back to Black Byrd and getting some drinks and bar bites, but honestly, we would only do so during off-peak hours to ensure we get those great seats.
Reasons to visit Blackbyrd KL: fantastic views of the KL skyline (our favourite seats are on the lounge in the bar); tasty cocktails; international menu decently sized in portion; must try the Tuna Feuillette and the Chilean Seabass.
For truffle lovers, the Truffle Tagliolini (RM49) is a real treat for the senses. Known as the "diamonds of gastronomy", this delicacy is used in 6 different forms in this dish. Truffle oil, truffle butter, truffle paste, shaved black and white truffle and finally a spritz of truffle perfume makes this a truffle dream come true. Too much truffle.?.. Said no one ever! I loved every mouthful of it... absolutely brilliant!
Reasons to visit Cantaloupe Troika Sky Dining: excellent set menus offering four, six and eight courses; stunning setting; good wine list with several natural and organic options.
Cantaloupe is one of KL's leading destination for delicate cuisine with a view. It has opened at the iconic building, The Troika, overlooking the picturesque KL Twin Towers and the lush green KLCC park. The dining room at Cantaloupe was designed by an infamous interior designers from Melbourne which allows one to enjoy the city's skyline in panoramic views. The menu is specially crafted with fine dishes and flavours made with integrity and passion.
This is one of my longest reviews for a very long time, but it reflects how much I liked the food and drink, and how keen I am to go back. Mr Chew’s is perhaps the higher end place I’m most willing to spend quite a lot of money at, because I don’t want to wait to save it for a special occasion. Seriously, go here and enjoy yourself.
Reasons to visit Troika Sky Dining Mr Chew’s Chino Latino Bar’s new home: convenient location next to some of KL’s hottest bar and restaurant concepts; must order the nori taco, tiger prawn dumplings, fried Japanese rice and go wild with the cocktail menu.
Reasons to visit Strato in Troika Sky Dining: The Ricotta Fig Tortellini, maybe the best Eggplant Parmagiana around, fabulous pizzas, and Hazelnut Tiramisu to die for. Oh, and mustn’t forget the views of the city centre.
Reasons to visit: Amazing value for money Italian Sunday brunch, great service, that view.
BLVD Signature Bean-Can Roasted Chicken (RM 88) MUST HAVE ! Flaming Roasted Chicken in front of you. The moist and juicy chicken meat served with the baked beans, grilled sweet corn and coleslaw. Every mouthful just perfectly delicious and appetizing making it one of my favorites of the night.
Baked Salmon Parcel (RM99) Painfully expensive for the small piece of salmon I was getting. Other than the staggeringly high price tag, I have no other complaints for this dish. The marinara sauce was fantastic, the harmonious blend of appetising taste from the tomato sauce and the generous amount of garlic, crushed red pepper, and basil to enhance the flavour, I couldn't bring my mouth to a halt right after the first bite. The soft and mushy was the perfect sides to savour every bit of the sauce too!
Stylish atmosphere and it would be a great place for a group to celebrate an occasion. It was undeniable that the interior is attentively furnished.
Reasons to visit Coppersmith Troika Sky Dining: a splendid place for before or after dinner drinks; must order the Root Chips and Lucien Gaudin.
Reasons to visit: The eloquently balanced Copper Fairies which could serve as a sweet aperitif or satisfying dessert cocktail. The unique and playful interpretation of Beef Macaroni and Cheese, which highlights the creativity of Coppersmith’s food and beverage team. The view.
Dining omakase at this culinary temple to wagyu will exact a high price, coming in at RM1188++ per person. Yes, it’s a high price to pay, but it’s understandable when you factor in the beef’s pedigree, the chef’s skill, and the sleek restaurant.
I thought the food was delicious at Feeka by the Park, and we were both very pleased with our dishes. I was initially unenthusiastic about Feeka’s small menu. After looking at it closely, there is variety in the cuisine that will fill most cravings. Over half of the menu items sound good to me, so we’ll likely return to a Feeka location if we’re in the area.
The only 2 Michelin Star Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur offers diners a spectacular viewand avant-garde Malaysian dishes.
Reasons to visit Bar Shake KL: cocktails crafted with meticulous attention to detail; a quality selection of boutique Japanese spirits; cool hidden bar vibe; love the fruit vinegars; marvel at the care that goes into making a fruit sake; Bloody Mary fans should test their loyalty with Sam’s clear recipe.
Reasons to visit: stylish décor in a cute café, mouth-watering pastries, the tuna melt, great breakfast deals, smooth and aromatic coffee, friendly staff – they have good recommendations so trust their judgement!
If there is one dessert you must try at Acme Bar & Coffee, this has to be it. The moist brownie was warm and rich in chocolate, and complementing the ice cream wonderfully was the generous serving of huge oreo chunks.

Thirty8 is famous for its incredible view, overseeing the city skyline of Kuala Lumpur and The twin towers, while sipping on your tea, hanging out with your friends or family, and have some dessert.
Overall, THIRTY8 offers one of the best views of the KL cityscape. However, we found the food to be hit-or-miss. In summary – come for the view, but temper your expectations for the food.

Overall, I do say this place does live up to the hype.
For example we really like this Unagi Bao RM28. Small in size, big in flavours. Spicy, succulent unagi contrasted by crunchiness of deep fried nori, flavours lifted up with salted egg crumble and julienne cucumber for a refreshing crisp that comes in just right. Served over a basket of sweet potato chips.

Service is slow, food is nice, price is above average. Value for money item would be Fried Chicken and Curry Rice. Cheese cake with cream is pretty good.
Overall, the high cost of the meal (RM268 for 2.5 diners) wasn’t matched by the quality of food, so I don’t think I am likely to return in the near future. On the other hand, if I could get away with just having three courses of dessert, I might change my mind.
YURI / Matcha 6th Avenue Cheesecake! Priced at RM21, this is exclusively made available at The Tokyo Restaurant, Isetan The Japan Store, Lot 10. We personally prefer this to the original now as it has the right balance of sweetness together with the matcha. So velvety smooth and tasty!
