The Seng Kee Mee Sua is traditional Mee Sua at its finest, the ingredients are powerfully strong but with a delicate finesse in its creation
The soup was surprisingly light and herbal and very sweet from a deep bone broth.
Their signature Black Chicken is another must-try dish and I would have ordered it if I was not eating alone.
The man said that the mutton was tender, like it had been parboiled being going into the pot.
Cafe Mariam is a great showcase of Indian-Muslim cuisine.
I’ll very much love to combine both nasi briyani and nasi mandi, and savour them together. It’s so good.
Homely, comforting Hakka dishes like house made yong tau foo, fishballs, abacus seed, and steamed clams in a nostalgic simple family run restaurant.
Their signature is Hakka style Yong Tau Foo that consists of a limited selection of just 7 items.
The chicken was very tender and moist, and I cleared everything on that tray tonight.
To Hai Kee, I say well done for preserving local food – and my favourite childhood dish of all time!
The service was fast, and I was happy to come here, even if the coffee was a bit watered down.
In fact, I wish I found out about it earlier. With affordable, good food in a cosy environment, there isn’t much else I could ask for. If you head down to try, let us know which CCF you got!
The themed cafe has seen a revamp recently and it is nothing short of amazing. S
I’ll definitely be back to try out the different items on the menu, maybe on payday or for a birthday celebration because it’s rather pricy.
Even though the whole coffeshop only sells this particular dish, people from all over the island will actually come all the way to the East to enjoy this laksa.
Service at Black & Ink is efficient and personable.
A unique ingredient in Lim Hokkien Fried Mee is the crispy ikan bilis.
Lim cooks every dish himself and uses a few of his own inspired touches to elevate the dish a step higher as well. Especially the use of fried ikan ibilis as a garnish.
Gu Zao Ren Taiwan Porridge is a suitable meal if you want a light lunch, dinner or supper. However, the portion is small so you probably have to order more dishes to share.
At such a wallet friendly price and taste quality, I would go for Pizzaboy. If you are staying around them, within walking distance, delivery is free.
Overall, we had a decent time at Rhombus Pizza SG. Although the food itself was mediocre at best, the experience of crafting our own pizzas (and making a huge mess) with good company definitely makes up for it.
Although the ingredients are simple, we would still recommend this place for those who will love the novel experience! It is still a fun place to hang out at if you want to experience making your own pizza.
Overall, we had a great time at Rhombus Pizza.
A place that serves up wallet-friendly Peranakan for both office workers in the area on weekdays as well as families for those who reside in the vicinity on weekends.
The place was so cozy and I can find myself slowing down physically without much stress.
This is a cozy lifestyle café, with shelves selling knick knacks produced by many local designers, from bags, accessories, handphone covers to inspirational cards.
Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at Cafe De Nicole’s Flower, although price wise, it is a little on the steep side.
Cafe De Nicole’s Flower’s most exceptional trait is not the menu but the charming venue.
Cafe De Nicole’s Flower faces a tough road ahead.
The noodles were springy and firm, tossed to al dente, but slippery - almost like slurping a bowl of Ramen in Japan!
One of the best soup Bak Chor Mee I have had, this is one stall I will be back again.
Eunos Famous Bak Chor Mee at Eunos Crescent has over 100 years of history.
The Brewing Ground offers not only good coffee and beer, but it is also a space for the community to gather.
The Brewing Ground looked quite promising with its location and name, but unfortunately I wasn't impressed by the food nor the coffee.
A dinner menu is currently brewing and there's no doubt i'd be back (like i did twice in a week).
Started in 1953, this restaurant boasts to be the oldest Peranakan restaurant in Singapore.
Overall dinner was pleasant with friendly service staffs and hearty homely feel dishes here.
Overall the nonya food at Guan Hoe Soon Restaurant we tried was very good but we could not say that we had a great dining experience.
The star was, of course, the fish dumplings (herh keow) which were smooth and slippery.
I would highly recommend trying the Her Kiao here.
Everything here is good and the best thing is their her kiao.
