Overall, those who enjoy (a sea of) siham in their curry mee should definitely check this place out. It was nice, but we would likely not come back here on purpose as we have other good curry mee options near our place.
This is "Probably The Best Curry Mee In Town" I have ever tasted ~ Best in KL, PJ & some say in Singapore!
Curry Mee, 7 ringgit Yup, this was yummy! It came with plenty of pork skin + siew yok + cockles + fried beancurd + tauhu and rich, creamy gravy packed with flavor. Oooo da bomb. I was slurping and slurping it away. The siew yok, when you leave it in the gravy long enough, the meat sort of gets soaked in it, when you eat it – oooo delicious. I can see why this curry mee is famous I truly enjoyed this bowl of delicious goodies. Will certainly be back for more.
Verdict: Overall it’s not bad but I’m not sure if I will purposely come back again. The location is a bit far from where I stay and I have a few more better Wonton Mee options at my disposal.
This is a popular eatery in the evenings even on weekdays; well worth the visit and if you are happen to be in KL after mid-night craving for Wan Ton Mee, this is probably a good place to have one.
My Personal Opinion Though they're more popular for their signature dish of wantan mee (you don't have to be Einstein to know this, it's pretty obvious from the name), I'm not particularly fond of it. I much prefer their other dishes like wild boar curry which you can eat with rice (perhaps their curry chicken and Hakka char yoke will be good accompaniments too).
环境~呢一个绝对系接近完美,单单360度无死角嘅夜景就已经无得弹
The Fried Rice was nice, tasted as it should. There were lots of petai, egg, prawns. It tasted similar to a plate of Belacan Fried Rice I’ve had elsewhere. Besides a large portion of fried rice, you’d get some keropok on the side, as well as some greens and a bullseye. I would not mind giving it another go.
Smoked Duck Spaghetti – a better dish for the night compared to the rest.
Yatta Fishbowl For those who are looking for a healthy meal, they have their version of pokebowl too. The hearty bowl of steamed rice filled with the marinated tuna, salmon, tamagoyaki, kyuri and ebiko in it. This bowl of hearty meal comes perfectly good and they are healthy too.
Their burnt cheese cake is rich and savoury, just melt in your mouth like ice-cream.
Autumn Princess, 16 ringgit. The flavors were different. The oat pancake itself had a distinct taste, rather pleasant. Topped with cinnamon apple. Now, this tasted like apple crumble but without the crumble. Add in the sweet, creamy flavor of Vanilla ice cream. A rather unusual mix but delicious nonetheless. I enjoyed it.
Shrimp Fried Rice, 11 ringgit. If you guys want simple, no frills yummy Chinese food – then do consider this eatery. As you guys can see from the fried rice, it was fresh out of the pan, nothing fancy to it – what you see is what you get and what you’d get is plain delicious fried rice
No doubt it generally cost more to eat out currently. For Warong Sinarnor, I am at least thankful that the quality of their dishes remained on par, even if prices have almost doubled. As I’ve gushed about the sambal and perfectly fragrant fluffy rice 8 years ago, I am glad I could say the same now. This is one of the very few nasi lemak stalls in KL/PJ that still serves a spicy sambal. Not super spicy (that doesn’t exist anymore) sadly, but certainly spicier than the current sweet ones.
This good-tasting slightly burnt aroma noodles comes with a decent amount of pork slice, prawns and the crucial ingredients of 'Chee Yau Char' - deep fried pork lard, something that's a Must-Have for the Hokkien Mee. It was not too oily either and comes in thick, dry and sticky black sauce coats every single strand of the yellow thick noodles.
Finally, the Siew Yoke (roast pork) was very tasty and salted to my level of satisfaction, the way I like it.
This is the ultimate curry-licious bowl of curry mee loaded with Cockles, Siew Yoke (roast pork), Tau Fo Pok (beancurd puffs) and Chee Pei (Pork skin) fragrant, rich and creamy curry broth!
In the heart of KL, lies an iconic Restaurant Hung Kee famous for their homemade Wantan Mee. Located along the busy Jalan Loke Yew, this old restaurant has b...
Based on my less than satisfactory eating experience at Hung Kee I can safely say I won’t be a returning customer. Even the wantan mee stall a stone throw’s away from my house could whip up better noodles (prepared by locals and not to mention cheaper too) so logically why would I want to eat here ever again?
Overall, I loved it! The charcoal cooking process enhance the flavour. Initially I have doubts seeing all the foreigner workers cooking and preparing the dish, but I was wrong.
The food was great, the prices were reasonable and seeing the claypots being exposed to fire was the artistic flair to cap it all off.
Food was good, yawwww. Very good. The pork sausage + chicken + salted fish + rice = Da’ bomb! As you mix the rice, scooping the bottom, the crunchy slightly burnt part mix with the soft, moist part – a perfect combo. The chicken pieces came infused with a ‘kechuppy’ flavor and it literally falls of the bone, the pork sausage provided a sweetness that complimented the saltiness from the salted fish. Truly satisfying to mix it all up and having a taste, you’d get a burst of flavors.
If you are a fan of Hakka noodles, rich porky flavours, try this eatery in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur. I recommend giving this Pudu eatery in Kuala Lumpur a try. This unassuming eatery promises a truly authentic local breakfast experience.I’m already contemplating when I can make my next visit to savor their exquisite noodles once again.
They do open really early in the morning though.
Overall, it was SUPERB lunch for us. Big portion and reasonable price. The total bill was RM 12 for the foods. Be prepared to wait for the food during the lunch hours. Little difficult to get car parkings so park somewhere else and walk over to the stall.
This is delicious and comfort street food you can find in the city center. They have been around for decades and we hope to revisit them once it is safe to do so. This is the famous and popular Fried Radish Cake Pudu Wai Sek Kai.
Pudu’s Wai Sek Kai along Jalan Sayur has some of the best foods in the city. This Glutton Street is filled with dozens of hawker stalls on both sides offering various cheap eats. Most of the stalls operate till late at night so it’s the perfect spot for dinner and supper.
Verdict: Total bill came up to RM50 with a portion of poached chicken rice, one bowl of noodles, blanched bean sprouts, a portion of braised pork and one bowl of fish balls soup. Very reasonable price and we were largely contented with our lunch at Guang Ji, certainly a YES for a revisit!
[Non-halal] Guang Ji Ho Fun & Chicken Rice on Jalan San Peng, Pudu is known for their kai si hor fun and chicken rice dishes.
My Personal Opinion Though the broth of this kai see hor fun is not as thick and sweet as the one in Moon De Moon (in Ipoh) but it's the closest in terms of taste (not to mention distance...haha!) and the best I've had in KL so far. ^.^
Nasi Lemak PEEL ROAD
Loaded my plate with fried chicken, sambal sotong and mutton curry. All the dishes went well with the rice, which was creamy but subtle. I can see why the chicken is so popular – extremely flavourful (not just on the skin but on the inside as well), addictively crunchy on the outside whilst being tender and moist on the inside. The mutton curry was not gamey at all and not too spicy; while the sambal sotong had a nice sweet and savoury tang to it with just enough kick. Two plates cost us RM15, which is very reasonable imo considering its a meal in the city centre.
Verdict Overall there was simply nothing bad to say about Peel Road Nasi Lemak. It tastes much like the conventional nasi lemak but with a little porky twist. The variety of side dishes can be a little overwhelming and the prices are fair due to it being a road side stall.
After shaking them apart. Lum Mee in dark gravy which is very, very salty. Costs about MYR 9 something.
Lam Mee tastes good and the portion is really big that I couldn’t finish it.
Overwhelming by this hearty bowl of Lam Mee .The lam mee taste so good with the thick gravy and generous condiments of prawns, chicken shreds, spring onions, beansprouts and cabbage. Great to have it with the hot chili together. Definitely the best lam mee in town!
Overall comment: Doutor Malaysia serves very nice coffee and Frozen ice blended beverage. Professional and polite service from staff. Come earlier around 11AM, as the mall will be crowded as noon arrives.
以 Hario V60 手冲的咖啡(RM9)+Chocolate Croffle(7pm 之后半价,一份只要 RM4!) Croffle 很好吃!!里先生喜欢这里的咖啡,我怕晚上没办法睡所以没尝试。
Ratatouille Doria | RM15 個人偏愛番茄醬料理,這道法式燴蔬菜飯上桌後芝士香氣撲鼻而來,米粒飽滿,應趁熱享用。
If you are in Canton Kitchen, one of the MUST TRY is their Ginger Wine Chicken Steam Bihun. The Steamed Chicken Bihun brings you a kick of spiciness from the ginger and it is also good to take out the “body wind”. The bihun is perfectly soaked with the fragrant Chinese Wine taste and Ginger. Deliciously done and love the umph from the ginger and wine.
The Fried Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk @ RM28.90 (for small, RM57.80 big, there's also a version with squid) besides boasting of a robust salted egg yolk flavour, with fragrant undertones from the fried curry leaves, also had a lot of inherent sweetness in it. The prawns, though few in numbers, were of a decent size...and were tasty enough, just wished the sauce wasn't as sweet.
Those dishes that I’ve tried here were anytime homecooked dishes that works for me. Reasonably priced and comfortable dining environment, I’m sure I will come back for more, not certainly this branch but perhaps Selayang branch which is nearer to me 😛
Claypot Pork Belly with salted fish. The fragrant of it and the caramelize ooze with the sauce is perfect. Must order.
This was good. Their signature too I suppose. Prok Ribs (non-halal).
This has got to be my first share of Hunan dining experience as my little faint tongue would usually shun away from extremely spicy delights (=. But being a foodie dictates some adventure along the gastronomy journey right? So here we are, at Xiang Man Qing restaurant, located at Fraser Business Park, just off from the main busy road of Jalan Loke Yew at Cheras.
A restaurant that serves authentic Hunan Si Chuan Food. This is undoubtedly a great chance for Malaysian to try out authentic Hunan cuisine prepared by a professional chef from China.
It was a lovely dinner and most importantly I really enjoyed myself trying new cuisine. It has its own unique taste that is totally different from my normal Chinese food. Moreover, this restaurant also tones down their spicness and oily taste to suit Malaysians tastebuds. My favourite dishes are Pork on the Hanger, Golden Corn, Hot & Spicy Baby Lobster and Pumpkin Bread. If you wanted to try new cuisine like me, give a try to this restaurant.
