Here's the location. The 2018 CNY Menu RM698++ Package
Used to be situated at Khoon Hiang Cafe 群香茶室, Ah Leng has now moved across the street. Here's the location.
Wahap is a classic stall at Jalan Dato Keramat that is selling Murtabak and also Roti Canai. This humble little stall is located just opposite Pos Office Dato Keramat. Serving delicious Murtabak and also special Roti Sarang Burung (Birdnest), the price of the dishes here is very reasonable. This place is a must to visit for those that love murtabak or roti canai.
Left Handed Char Koay Teow serves Chendul (煎蕊, RM3.50) for dessert. The shaved ice is sweetened with gula melaka (palm sugar). The dessert also contains red beans and green jelly noodles.
Malaccan-Portoguese Spicy Bihun is one of the items under the Set Lunch menu. The dish was a little too moist to our liking, the Vermicelli Noodles were too soft in texture, if it was not because of the chopped Chilies, we would have a hard time finishing the dish.
Seafood lovers out there get to enjoy the best of both worlds at one of the new recreational spots in town- 385 Prawning & Thai Restaurant; where you will not only get to do prawn-fishing but also enjoy a sumptuous Thai Seafood meal at the restaurant. Tucked away from the bustling Dato Keramat, 385 Prawning & Thai Restaurant has become one of the latest hit spots in Penang. For Rm 18, fishing enthusiasts can now hone their skills at this facility; any catch within the purchased time frame belongs to the fisher. We are no fishing devotee and naturally, the Thai restaurant becomes our focus. Only opens for dinner, the restaurant does not offer an extensive menu but with the signature dishes, it is more than good enough to please any diners with stubborn Thai palate. Food is competitively priced and the taste does not disappoint; it can be a good spot for a family dinner.
385 Prawning & Thai Fishing Restaurant which started operating on Dato Kramat Road in Penang is an entertainment park. Set in the side lane next to Convent Dato Kramat, the outlet is not limited to offering a collection of prawning and fishing activities with huge seawater and freshwater ponds. The outlet operated by Raymond Lee and his wife Jenny Goh, also includes a Thai restaurant for customers to enjoy Thai cuisine. The dishes ranging from traditional to popular street food are prepared with fresh seafood, poultry and meat
Their set lunch menu has more than 10 options of main dish for you to choose from.
The averagely priced food may not be ecstatic in taste but definitely you will enjoy the nice dining environment over here.
Welcome to Hamisu 虾米术, nestled in the heart of Jalan Dato Keramat, Penang, where the ocean's bounty finds its way to your table. This dining haven is a treasure trove for seafood enthusiasts, boasting an array of dishes that celebrate the freshness of the sea.
Its Six Premium Cantonese Restaurant 六鼎轩 hidden inside Penang Times Square on Jalan Dato Keramat has recently introduced the “Dragon Gate Banquet”, a feast with nine dishes. Currently priced at Rm688++ until June 2019 (regular price at RM988++), the meal that serves 10 pax is great value for celebrations.
The Chicken Rice Bowl is a safe option, with braised Chicken Thigh. It was nicely seasoned with fork-tender texture, definitely a flavor-combo that most Malaysians can accept
If you want a local Penang version of loh mee, you can visit Kim Leng Loh Mee at Restoran Joo Huat at Perak Road Penang.
1119 Curry Mee Stall at Joo Huat Cafe is one of the curry mee selling in Penang that served non-santan (no coconut milk) at their base. The taste of the curry mee is as good as those that have included santan and it is packed with nostalgic and classic flavor. The blood cockles are fresh and juicy, while the soup is thick and aromatic, and the chili paste is packed with pungent. Overall the curry mee is worth the taste
The pancake taste good, the outer layer of the pancake is crunchy and the ingredient inside it is good too, though simple but I like it.
Tasty savoury fragrant KL style wanton noodles with tasty plump wantons.
Polo Bun with Butter (菠萝油) – RM4.50, a very typical Hong Kong pastry. The top of the bun was covered with slightly sweet crust while the inner of the bun was stuffed with a piece of creamy butter. In Penang, it is so difficult to get Polo Butter Bun. That is the reason I came to this cafe to try out the bun. It is in fact one of their best-sellers and usually sold out by noon. The top crust was so nice and the bun was soft and warm. Having it with soft and creamy butter was simply satisfying. This bun is perfect when it is served warm.
For the menu, although I thought that the price is wallet-friendly but the choices are limited.
Here's the location.
Looking for a place to chill while having a good meal? Kraffmen Cafe is definitely the place to be.
St. Ali在墨尔本是一家相当有名气的咖啡馆,超高辨识度和知名度,这道菜式正是以这家咖啡馆名字命名
Initially hesitant about trying Siam Road Charcoal Char Kuey Teow due to trying a different CKT place, I eventually decided to give it a try. However, the experience wasn't the most pleasant due to the non-air-conditioned setting and an extensive queue. The uncle cooking the CKT prepared each plate individually, leading to a considerable wait.
Siam Road CKT remains close to the hearts of many.
Its good and ddfinitely Penang.
Along with a nice cosy ambiance to go with it. If you have not tried their desserts before, you should :)
Creamy tong-sui is showcased in the bubur cha cha, green bean sago, and the black glutinous rice, with the former cooked in coconut milk and the latter complemented by a topping of thick coconut milk.
Tiger CKT is one of those famous CKT that located in a Old Coffee Shop in George Town, which is open for breakfast and lunch, perserving is RM7.50 at this date and time, comes with 2 large prawns, and will customize the CKT to your requirements. I would rate this place is as one of the Top CKT in town. (personal).
The Char Koay Teow may not look much different from the others, but it was really delicious, fragrantly fried with lots of “wok-hei” flavour! We suspected the use of duck egg made the delectable plate even more fragrant. It didn’t leave a very greasy feel too. Much better than the one we had from an unknown stall in Pulau Tikus the previous day!
The place was in in full swing on Sunday morning circa 10.00am and we were lucky to secure the last table or else we might need to wait table for hours according to Ken. We placed our order and wait patiently for our food to be served. There are other foods available in the coffee shop too such as prawn noodle (known as Hokkien Mee in Penang), Lor Bak and etc.
During my visit, i tried their thin crusted 10" pizza dough which is topped with napoli tomato paste, swiss gouda mozzarella cheese, oregano herbs, parsley, basil leaves or rockets and topping of smoked salmon, olive and onion. This pizza is tasty with its crunchy thin layer of dough. It is enough to fill up your tummy without making you feel bloated.
Teriyaki Chicken and Sesame Pasta was probably the best scorer of the day but it was a misnomer. We were expecting a dry Pasta with Teriyaki sauce as seasoning but it was in fact, a cream-based Pasta topped with Teriyaki Chicken. The sauce was alright- creamy and perfectly seasoned but the Linguine was slightly overcooked (a little too soft to our liking).
Another best brekkie specialty is the Grill Salmon & Scrambled Egg. A surprise indeed as its visual does not prepare one’s guests for the fish dish. The marinated salmon rolled into the shape of sausage goes through a grilling cooking process, and served with scrambled egg on top of a slice of wholemeal baguette. A tasty Hollandaise sauce prepared from egg yolks accompanies it well.
Soul Cafe 也不例外,推出了四道邪恶的的圣诞精选!
Soul Cafe also caters special menu for events and celebrations.
Their food and coffee are pretty impressive as well as usual. And definitely not forgetting their lava cake lol.
The thick and fragrant curry, where the fish heads are cooking is said to be delicious. It goes very well with roti prata and will keep you wanting more.
Overall, Living Room offers a nice ambience to dine at. The taste of certain food here is nice especially the Kam Heong pasta and Red Wine Stew Beef which are my favorites. These dishes will be my in my order list when I visit next time.
