Coffee is a 6 Letter Word and that’s how we started in 2019 at Tanjong Katong Road.
259 Tanjong Katong Road, Singapore 437047, open Sun to Thu 8am to 7pm, Fri and Sat 8am to 8pm
To be frank, i absolutely love the vibes when i stepped in; bright with no over-the-top decorations and there were plenty of green plants that contrasted nicely with the place's whiteness!
Wanton Mee – White plate or Green plate? That’s the battle of the Wantan Mees at Tanjong Katong. After the original owners of Eng’s Wantan Mee sold it to a group, the relatives decided to open on the other side of the street – Eng’s Char Siew Wantan Mee. So naturally, the debate began.
Overall, we sure like Eng’s Char Siew Wanton Mee.
Not sure if i will come here again but if you like noodles, this shop is the place to go to.
I definitely ate more than I should, the food was way more than enough for 7 of us and burp.
I've lost count of the number of times I've dined at BITP but I know I'll definitely visit again real soon. I just can't get enough of their signature soup and fried fish skin!
The service is excellent but I felt extremely uncomfortable when they bowed 90 degrees to us every time after they served us.
In a single trip, Supernova has turned me into an absolute fan and the same can be said for most people considering the crowd there, even on a weekday afternoon. And with such good food available throughout the day, I definitely have equally high expectations for their dinner menu. Guess there’s only one way to find out!

There is one more dish I have not had the chance to try, the Fried Chicken with French Toast. It was sold out on my second visit, and this dish is at the top of my list. I also wouldn’t mind to check out its dinner menu one day.
The Claypot Chicken Rice was chicken rice in a claypot rather than claypot rice. Every component was really good – the rice was grainy and fragrant and had a nice crisp where it touched the claypot. The chicken was tender and qq, and paired with nice minced ginger. The chilli was spicy, fragrant, sweet and piquant at the same time. And the chicken consommé tasted of nice earthy herbal chicken soup. Very nice.
Seng House, opened by the family behind Seng Coffee Bar, serves up a Hainanese-inspired spread in a chic, retro setting.
Seng House cafe in Tanjong Katong offers dishes that incorporate traditional Hainanese flavours into contemporary cafe fare.
Food at 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen spans traditional Italian cuisine, in particular, pizza and rotisserie chicken. Their pizza in particular is outstanding, made using quality ingredients and freshly baked over a blend of various types of wood, rivaling the best restaurants around.
Islandwide delivery is available for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home, simply order via order.800degreessg.com
Their seriousness towards the whole process of preparing a neapolitan pizza, from importing Neapolitan flour from Italy to utilising an actual wood-fired oven is admirable.
family-friendly space, cheerful service & good food. Little Rogue Coffee is a breakfast and brunch spot that is worth getting out of bed for
Meet Little Rogue Coffee, a new cafe along Tanjong Katong Road. With a floor space big enough for a playpen in the middle of the cafe for the young ones (closed for now due to the ongoing pandemic), a rack for those with bicycles, and plenty of seats available, you won’t have to worry too much about waiting ages for a table, at least not on weekdays.
Overall, Bruno’s Pizzeria and Grill is like your neighbourhood Italian restaurant.
Other than La Pizzaiola, this will be my choice for a homely feel Italian restaurant in Singapore.
overall 5 out of 6 myself included thinks eng’s wanton noodles just slightly better..
Eng’s wanton mee, particularly the dry version, was definitely a flavourful and delectable dish.
It has been a while since I last came here for a dinner outing, but food continues to be exciting.
Plus that side of cream of tomato soup served along with it, hearty goodness.
Burp-ed and a return is a must!
I will return for the roast duck next and hopefully, it lives up to the standards of the other meats I had this time. This stall is worth a journey if you love chicken rice and roast meats.
Famous for their Roast Chicken Rice, but I love it for their Char Siew. Old School, Sweet Caramelised Fatty Pork. Their Roast Pork as well, not too salty at the bottom and crispy at its skin with a mixture of lean and fatty centres.
Ponggol Nasi Lemak is a great option for takeaway - affordable freshly cooked food that is delicious. Can also order online for pick up or ask for delivery.
In light of all that greasy goodness (not that there was much, to begin with), a good, comforting dish to order is their Ginseng Chicken (S$12).
The Lunar Rabbit Boulangerie breakfast set was a value for money deal. We thought the breakfast items we tried were average measured against the high standards of its viennoiserie, but the coffee was good.
Overall, if you are looking for American Style Pizza with sourdough base, give John’s Pizzeria a try.
Gyu-Kaku states on its website that they promise high quality and fresh food with wonderful atmosphere and reasonable price.
B4R is definitely a place to go if I am in the east and looking for a place to chill with great indian food and a drink.
Both the Penang food and Korean desserts were satisfactory and I really liked the concept of having the two cuisines in one restaurant.
Overall, the Penang dishes at Penang Bagus in Tanjong Katong are simple and authentic.
Overall, Garçons served hearty and unpretentious French Cuisine at great value for money.
Garçons Tanjong Katong is a great counterpoint to trendy restaurants that serve tiny portions at exorbitant prices.
