Once I mix all of the ingredients in the claypot, it balances the sweet and salty aftertaste on my palate. The taste of each individual ingredients also contributes their fair share to the dish. While the chicken strips are salty, the raw carrots and cabbage compliment the chicken with its neutral taste. Yet the dish was a tad bit overly salted for my palate. As it left my tongue with a burning sensation, I was tempted to order a mug of cold coffee to quench my thirst.
Chicken BBQ set - RM 20.90 The set come with rice, banchan(side dishes) and soup. The banchan is refillable. The chicken BBQ is cooked in gochujang (Korean red chilli paste) sauce, very mild of spicy, don't really feel the pinch. I love the taste of the gochujang, not too sweet or salty, just nice. It is delicious!
I have been to Korea and one thing for sure is that the food here is as good as it is there ! The kimchi here is also amazing! Woot-woot, Double kill ! Whenever I miss Korea's street food I'll order their Ddeokbokki (picture shown above) it only cost RM 12.90 each plate but of course in Korea I can get it for half the price lah.
Nice Chinese meal.
Crispy Roasted Duck ooohhh...la...la.... I loved this. I am now a converted roast duck fan for many years now. Previously I only liked roasted chicken. How silly of me.
The place is fairly crowded, the food is nice.
Besides the set meals, the menu shows much more exciting offers which is definitely worth more visits here at the Three Little Pigs &The Big Bad Wolf either in Bangsar Baru or Tropicana City Mall.
After two visits to this eatery in within 1 week after reading PH's post, we went back again for their lunch sets (MYR15.90 nett) as parking at this mall is very affordable at MYR1 nett for 3 hours of parking and there are many vacant parking lots available
I went there again with my spouse to share this big big breakfast recommended by PH and it was as nice as said.
Expect a lot from the Siu Yok here, not bad but I think could have been better!
I quite like it.
I have now tried 10 of the 15 Yakitori stick choices, so far I really like the Soy Pork Belly, Bacon mushroom, Scallop, Wild Salmon and Chicken Wings; these few worth re-visiting in the future.
A great dinner meal at Brussels Beer Cafe with Belgian Beer.
Crown Lager is a American Adjunct Lager style beer brewed by Crown Beverages in Southbank, Australia. Not sure it was me or it is the production batch, but I think it is quite flat. A little disappointed on this Australian beer!
Highlights: Happ Hour, Craft Beer
The Japanese Restaurant chefs slicing fresh Sashimi and preparing sushi in front of the customers.
Was in the mood for pasta, so I ordered a carbonara. It came with bits of fried ham and button mushrooms. The pasta was al dente, but the sauce had an odd, artificial flavour. Won’t be ordering this again. ._.
The dakganjeong was crunchy, well fried and coated well with the sweet sticky sauce. I'd like to try their yangnyeom sweet and spicy chicken next.
Spicy ramyeon was extremely spicy. Topped with a fried egg and roasted seaweed, the fiery sauce coated each strand of al dente noodle, and the seasoning was flavourful – but it had us gulping down cups of water. It’s the type of heat that doesn’t feel that hot at first, but eventually has you crying and your sinuses running, lol. If you can’t handle the heat, it’s best to go for the non-spicy option.
The Big Breakfast did not disappoint. There was a big smoked chicken sausage, hash brown, creamy scrambled eggs, toast, sauteed mushrooms, baby potatoes and a salad of cucumber and tomatoes.
What do We Like about Sushi Tei? -The sushi quality is better than other chained restaurant -The nigiri sushi set is value for the money -The environment and setting are comfortable for a meal
My friend ordered the fried salmon at MYR 17.75++ (MYR 20.59 nett). After tasting our salmon teriyaki, she says salmon teriyaki tastes better than this fried salmon.
Almost every corner in this cafe provides a different experience; with cozy corners, a play of color varieties and decorations with both interior and exterior seating areas.
Nasi Lemak Burger RM13.90 Ala carte RM15.90 Combo Juicy and succulent deep fried chicken thigh served with fried egg and cucumber slices sandwiched between rice bun and topped with sambal sauce, peanuts and fried anchovies. The chicken was flavourful with crispy skin, the only downside was the pathetic portion of sambal, hence you don't get that spicy kick.
When I don't feel like eating rice, I will order fish and chips. This dish is named Farmers Special Deep Fried Fish at MYR 17.50 nett. I suspect that it is dory fish but it was a bit better than some of the dory fish that I had eaten before. I ate 1 slice and kept the other slice for dinner.
Laksa, cucur udang and Teh tarik. Perfect.
I don’t have much faith in bar food, but was pleasantly surprised to find that the carbonara was actually very tasty. The portion was generous, the pasta was cooked al dente and it was creamy but not cloying. The noodles were topped with a perfectly oozy egg yolk, further coating the creamy strands of pasta in an extra layer of rich goodness.
My friend's braised chicken drumstick with rice at MYR 17.90+ (MYR 18.97 nett). She finished the whole bowl before I was halfway through my meal because she says that it is tasty and she was hungry.
This friend ordered Soy Stewed Pork with Rice at MYR 16.9+ (6% SST = MYR 17.91 nett) despite me pointing it out to her that this is pork belly since I know that she does not eat the fatty parts. She said it is ok she would just remove those parts which she did painstakingly. She removed the skins and all the fatty layers leaving only very little lean meat but she was satisfied with her choice. There is a piece of dried pork skin (like those served with chee cheong fun) in her bowl which she gave to me.
Continuing from yesterday's lunch story, I ordered the signature ice dessert at MYR 13+ (6% SST = MYR 13.78 nett). You can see the default 5 toppings in the photo above, clockwise from the top: grass jelly, jelly ai yu, tapioca pearls, taro and sweet potatoes balls. I like all the toppings including the tapioca pearls because they are soft, just like jelly unlike other places that serve tapioca pearls that can be hard to chew because they are too springy. Ai yu jelly is made from seeds of the fruit of the creeping fig plant (Ficus pumila var. awkeotsang). You can read how Ai yu Jelly is made from this wiki article.
My order: Mackerel nasi lemak set with a glass of barley drink with no sugar at MYR 13.55 nett. The piece of mackerel at this branch is smaller than what I get from the branch in Atria Mall.

Salted Egg Fish Skin One must try is the Salted Egg Fish Skin which is packed with the aromatic blend of the salted egg. Each piece is well coated with the salted egg paste ensuring each bites making you come back for more.
Baan 109 真是一家非常有诚意的小餐厅,价格公道,用料大方。
