When it comes to Singaporean cuisine, few dishes are as iconic as Hainanese Chicken Rice. This delectable dish, with its succulent chicken and fragrant rice, has found its way into the hearts and stomachs of locals and tourists alike. But did you know that nestled on the second floor of Lucky Plaza, there's a hidden gem waiting to be discovered? Lucky Chicken Rice, a humble eatery, serves up this classic dish.
The hor fun was really smooth and slippery, and came with a really mushroomy savoury sauce and fragrant fried shallots. I could polish off just the hor fun itself. The chicken was decent – slightly tough and requiring the chilli to lift its flavours.
After reading so many positive reviews online, I was slightly disappointed by my experience at Lucky Chicken Rice.
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
Overall, their dishes were on par with what I had back then or even better.
This is a good alternative to ayam penyet if I am dining in Orchard. They also have an outlet in Tampines. I’ll definitely be making many return visits!
Eggs looked a little underdone but was salvaged by a surprisingly fragrant dark soy sauce. Coffee was flat and unremarkable.
If I had to describe, I'd say that their sambal hijau/merah were decent.
Gotta come back another time to see what else is good.
If you want to get your Filipino taste buds going great guns, get to Orchard Road, 4th Floor of Lucky Plaza and the unassuming Inasal.
As it mentioned on their website that their recipe is created by a veteran chef Daniel Tan and it has been handed down from generation to generation since the 1970s, it is in the good hand of the third generation now.
Ordered some of the stuff we liked like their sambal goreng.
Otoké Chicken may be the new kid in town, but their fried chicken can proudly stand alongside more popular brands.
Food at Pick a Boo wasn’t spectacular or out of the norm but was good enough to satisfy my perpetual craving for cafe food.
Not bad.

Don’t miss the Giant Grouper-themed menu at Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant. It’s an epicurean journey that will leave an indelible impression. Make your reservations here.
Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant has refreshed it’s a la carte menu and launched the seasonal Sri Lankan Crab menu recently.
Overall, it was an excellent culinary journey of Argentinian cuisine. While some of the dishes look familiar, we find the taste uniquely different due to the use of Argentinian flavour and ingredients. Salud! Cheers!
To complement the food, Head Bartender Sophia Kang has also teamed up with Restaurant and Bar Manager Gabriel Carlos to present three chocolate-themed cocktails for the season.

All in all, I do not mind splurging once in a while for such delicious lobster rolls.
They don’t take reservations so customers in the know will arrive by 11.45 am to chope a place when they open at 12noon!
I am always in a fix on where to curb my hunger at The Centrepoint ; there were just too many choices at Gastro+ and my simple mind obviou...
Misato certainly served delicious Japanese food and they paid special attention to the cutlery and utensils too. However, it is a little slow. We would still recommend. Therefore, dine when you have the time to spend.

Portions were a little small. Prices were a little high.

Best Chinese Restaurant Birthday Celebration at Hua Ting restaurant Orchard Hotel Singapore with premium seafood and meat dishes ...
Hua Ting Restaurant is said to be a top Cantonese restaurant in Singapore, winning many accolades over the years, including recognition as ...
This famous Chinese restaurant at the Singapore Orchard Hotel is a stalwart on the dining scene. They have arrangements for delivery or food pickup from the hotel driveway which is always our preference whenever it is available.
This noodle chain apparently commands long lines back in Malaysia, mainly for a broth that is made from forty different kinds of local fish bones (313 Orchard Road #B3-37, 6363-5323). So I was disappointed when I took a sip of it to find that it wasn't anywhere as savory as I would've thought, and in fact was slightly sweet.
Food at GO Noodle House is Malaysian Chinese cuisine, focused on soup noodles with their signature broth. The menu is extensive, with a good range. Quality of dishes is consistent, tasty and delicious.
Good texture going on with the toppings but the noodles on their own weren't impressive at all.
The new menu and concept of Alma is definitely a good change for me, where the execution and presentation of the courses display the finesse expected of a Michelin starred restaurant. The injection of Asian flavours in the menu is also a welcoming element for me.
One-Michelin starred restaurant Alma by Juan Amador Celebrates Its 6th Year with a Specially Curated Anniversary Menu which will be available from 1 to 30 September 2021. Choose between the special 5-course lunch & dinner menu (from 12 to 2:30pm, 6 to 10pm) at S$198++/pax, or the grand 8-course dinner menu (from 6 to 10pm) at S$298++/pax.
Pasta and all that were quite standard. Swimmer crab pasta had generous amounts of crab, and tasted like curry pasta. The pork jowl was soft with an interesting salty savoury sauce, and the rice was like a fragrant and tasty glutinous rice, without the stickiness.
