Steamed chicken was ok but I'd remember not to order the Charsiew again! Slightly expensive for the combinations today.
I like this Malaysian version of the 炒滑蛋 offered by 百味园 Brunch Kitchen.
The Pork chop comes with an Eggy top, at RM$9, the set comes with coffee or tea, nice!
As recommended, I am sampling the Vegetarian Nasi Lemak which comes with "Blue Rice" (like the Nasi Kerabu), papadam, the usual cucumber, nuts, anchovies, and not too spicy sambal.
Enoshima is a small, bustling, Japanese Restaurant located at Wisma Cosway, replacing Ozeki Italian Cuisine that I’ve once been to a few years ago. This quaint little restaurant reminds me of the izakaya that I’ve been to in Japan. Perhaps the ambiance itself. Filled with many Japanese too. However, this one has more selections. Haha. And also has fusion dishes as well. One downside is that some of them smoke indoors *coughs*
Our dinner at Sam Hou Express Bak Kut Teh in Wisma Cosway was a simple and cozy one. If you’re looking for a satisfying, no frills meal, Sam Hou Express Bak Kut Teh definitely worths a visit. So, the next time you’re in the area, make sure to drop by for a simple and delightful meal at Sam Hou Express Bak Kut Teh.
If you love Japanese rice dishes and bar snacks, which has an owner that speaks Japanese, this is the place to be
Veitnam's Culi coffee give a certain identity to the taste of Vietnamese coffee.
Today's coffee at myViet was featuring this coffee; so Bosco recommended to "Cham" or mixed the two types of roasted coffee together!
it is very Western style of Bean mixed.
The Cafe also offers Nasi Lemak, Loh Mai Kai, Toast, Pau; all starting from 8am.
This little shop deserve another visit either for breakfast or lunch soon in the future.
I tried the fried Loh Shu Fun today! nice.
The grilled chicken was decent but pretty much tasteless without the dip sauce. Even the dip sauce was a tad too sweet and I would say that it was just so so. The blend of mashed potatoes and steamed beans was again quite bland. Overall, it wasn't something that I had enjoyed and my rating for this dish shall be 4/10 only.

Move on to Western mains, Roasted Duck Marinated with Orange – the highlight in this festive buffet, comes in sight. Crispy skin, succulent meat, laced with mild citrusy hints of orange. As the guest chef responsible for the Japanese-Australian Epicurean Affair menu for the hotel’s #DinewithChef series (24 August to 3 September), Fong then proceeded to guide Harris on the sushi-making masterclass.
Thirty8 is famous for its incredible view, overseeing the city skyline of Kuala Lumpur and The twin towers, while sipping on your tea, hanging out with your friends or family, and have some dessert.
Overall, THIRTY8 offers one of the best views of the KL cityscape. However, we found the food to be hit-or-miss. In summary – come for the view, but temper your expectations for the food.
Conceived as an experiential haven for both connoisseurs and newbies, the 12-seater Sake Room will set the stage for immersive food and sake matching experiences; counting among its drawcard a sake from Hokusetsu, Japan that's brewed exclusively for the Nobu Group.
We truly enjoyed our afternoon at the new location of Nobu Kuala Lumpur. The food was superb, the location is a stunner, and the service was fabulous. One could easily slip into this accessible location for a bite to eat at the sushi bar, a drink at the inviting cocktail bar, a meal with family and friends, or a private meal in the 12-person private room overlooking the park. This new location has everything you would expect from the high standards of Nobu, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
The ‘Ode to Nobu’ Omakase menu is priced at RM595++ per person. The elegant 7-course menu, available until 31 October 2019
Overall, I do say this place does live up to the hype.
For example we really like this Unagi Bao RM28. Small in size, big in flavours. Spicy, succulent unagi contrasted by crunchiness of deep fried nori, flavours lifted up with salted egg crumble and julienne cucumber for a refreshing crisp that comes in just right. Served over a basket of sweet potato chips.
THE LINGUIST (MYR 30) Sautéed Prawns and Clams with Chili Linguine, Garlic and Rocket Huge and fresh prawns were spotted!
Service is slow, food is nice, price is above average. Value for money item would be Fried Chicken and Curry Rice. Cheese cake with cream is pretty good.
Overall, the high cost of the meal (RM268 for 2.5 diners) wasn’t matched by the quality of food, so I don’t think I am likely to return in the near future. On the other hand, if I could get away with just having three courses of dessert, I might change my mind.
YURI / Matcha 6th Avenue Cheesecake! Priced at RM21, this is exclusively made available at The Tokyo Restaurant, Isetan The Japan Store, Lot 10. We personally prefer this to the original now as it has the right balance of sweetness together with the matcha. So velvety smooth and tasty!
Thanks to the friendly staff for recommending this Sup Ekor. So good! A hearty portion of tummy-warming, flavourful oxtail broth, richly seasoned with a bouquet of house spices, topped with celery cress and crispy shallot.
Reasons to visit Shook! The Starhill Dining: stylish new digs; menu catering to a variety of tastes; Dancing Prawns; grill menu; cocktails from The Alchemy; although wine by the glass is not particularly impressive their vertical collection of Chateau Mouton Rothschild dating back to the 1940s is worth at least a little envy.
The comprehensive spread of authentic Malay dishes includes all-time favourites such as Rendang Daging ‘Tok’, Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak, Nasi Briyani, Sup Ekor and Bubur Lambuk

The revisit to Concorde Hotel KL famous dim sum is rewarding. The quality of the food and the ambiance of the place remains the same after so many years. For the pricing of their dim sum, it is similar to some Chinese banquet restaurant price and on par or cheaper than some dim sum restaurants in other hotels in KL. In short, visiting Concorde Hotel KL famous dim sum will not disappoint you.
Chef Wong takes on a bold approach with the Steamed Soon Hock with Nyonya Sauce (RM30 per 100gm). The fish is smothered in a piquant and spicy Nyonya sauce that is redolent of spices and herbs. Although the sauce is robust and heavy in flavours, one can still taste the sweetness of the firm and tender flesh of the Soon Hock fish. The dish beckons for a bowl of steamed rice as the sauce is moreish and addictive.
Fruity Yee Sang (small): pistachio, pomelo, chia seed, wax apple (jambu air), dried cranberry, white dragon fruit, dried blueberry, jackfruit, grape, deep fried dough, mandarin orange, pomegranate, pumpkin seeds, snow pear, apple, peanut, and carrot. Tasty and refreshing! MYR 108 nett

Flavours were sweet and clear in most of the dishes, as what Hongkong-style does: allowing the natural goodness of ingredients to shine. With wellness very much in mind, the dishes are well executed with minimal use of oil and hard flavouring
Reasons to visit Shang Palace KL: attractive, traditional setting; warm hospitality; fresh ingredients; delicious Peking duck.
Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur is one of the most prominent hotels in the capital city.
While prices are steep, it makes up for quality and would definitely be a well-deserved treat.
