It looks like Shimonoishiki has been expanding its lunch menu, with things like this anagodon appearing now. It was a sauceless shirayaki, and fortunately still based on good quality products. But I wasn't flipping out about it either. At least it added to the midday options available.
Here's the lunchtime kaisendon from Shimonoishiki. The rice was a bit heavy on the vinegar, but the cuts of fish were good enough that I was still happy when I ate it.
This is allegedly a shop from Japan, although I'm not entirely sure how similar the local rendition here is (18 Robinson Road #03-02).

I was still happy to eat it all, including an impressively spicy Merguez sausage.
Overall, it was a unique and enriching experience.
The food here is not bad, and I did get some education with reference to the kazuki toro.
The ambience in itself transforms seamless when the sun goes down, and then it’s a nice place to chill.
