Chicken Chop Burger, 16 ringgit. So, under their chicken burger selection, they offer two options – Chicken Chop and Zinger. The former is pan fried and the latter is deep fried. I opted for the Chicken Chop Burger and boy, it was yummmmmm! Another filling dish, be sure to order this when your stomach is empty. The burger was made up of a combination of burger buns + cheese + a generous portion of a boneless chicken + cucumbers + greens, with a side of fries. It was delicious – juicy, meaty and flavorful. Loved it.

As soon as the dish arrived, the first thing that would hit you is the smell – the sweet buttery aroma and this would certainly get your mouth all watered up and ready for what you are about to taste. The first thing I decided to taste is the gravy. Man, it was good. First, the creamy, sweetish butter sauce hits you and the the subtle curry Having the flavorsome gravy with crispy,tender chicken thigh. Ooooo yum. I would totally order this dish again… and again… and again.

My beef burger + extra cheese = RM5.30. THIS. This is what good burgers should be about. Simple, no frills but oh-so-tasty. The patty was flavourful, well seasoned and juicy, and I could really taste the difference and freshness in quality as compared to frozen patties. Instead of mayo which may overpower the taste of meat, the burger has just chilli sauce, onions and cucumbers.

Food is cheap here, 8 ringgit each yawwwww!. Food tasted as delicious as it looks. I’ve got nothing else to say. The vegetables were awesome, the meat was flavorful and tender, the Chinese style Mee Hoon was a good replacement for rice, the Indian gravies were rich and filled with spices. It all worked real well, I ate like a pig and I most probably will do so again during my next visit. Burp!

Nothing like a warm bowl of gooey goodness in the middle of the day! The version here is topped with lots of shredded chicken, parsley and a localised ingredient you won’t find in Taiwan – a big dollop of sambal. Chicken Drumstick in a Bun at MYR 6.90+ (6% SST = MYR 7.31 nett). Sounds fun to eat so bought two to try. The end of the chicken drumstick is wrapped in aluminium foil and it juts out from the bun. You can also see the drumstick from the other end of the bun. It is nice as the bun tastes of herbs, the chicken drumstick meat is tender and you know that it is chicken meat that you are getting since a whole complete drumstick on the bone is in the bun.

Note however that the infusion of elements like cinnamon may turn out to be more subtle than expected, supplying nuanced dimensions of flavour instead of knock-out dynamics. The first entree was Roasted duck skin with black truffles and fresh fruits. This was a killer combo; so kudos to the chefs! The crispy duck skin had a melt-in-the-mouth layer of fat underneath, while the meat was tender and had none of the gamey flavour duck is notorious for. The bed of fresh fruit with a dusting of truffle was earthy, sweet, rich and refreshing at the same time.

Malas- supposedly spelled as Malaysian Tapas but makes a lousy portmanteau when named Malas. If it isn’t obvious enough that it actually meant lazy in bahasa, well then one could easily identify that and see it in their operating staffs because they are definitely living up to the name of this place for sure. The service crew seriously need a massive encouragement (when we are the only customer) to get them paying more attention to the customers; let alone requesting them to walk over to our table. Dainty choices are there on the menu to spoilt the customers but if Malas were to be judged solely on this alone, it would be a breakthrough for local flavour for sure. Though very unfortunately, the rest of the dining experience left it a few pegs short.

Chicken Vindaloo with Rice, 12.90 ringgit. This was yummmm! Different but yummy. What you’d get on the plate is rice + half a thigh with gravy + papadum + cucumber. I loved the chicken and the gravy, loved it a lot that I had to request for extra gravy, lol. Yea, I am one of those who enjoys the ‘banjir’ effect, making sure every bit of rice has gravy on it. Good stuff, yawww. The, there were the papadums. Let me tell you, the crackers that accompanied the noodles were bad enough, now this, the papadums, was worst. I just do not get it – if it is soo bad, why put it on the plate? It had no crunchiness whatsoever, it felt a lil bit like how it was suppose to be prior to getting fried. Now this, I had to request for replacement because I love them papadums, which they did. The new ones were as they should be, crunchy. So yea, minus the papadum blunder, the rest of the dish was yummy. Loved it.

The Quesadilla was awesome! It comes in 4 large pieces, stuffed with flavored chicken meat, onions, corn, vegetables, cheese. It may look harmless but it sure does fill you up real quick. Yummmmyyyy!! It was flavorful, chewy, gooey from the mayo on the top, simply a burst of flavors. If I could change one thing – it would be to caramelize the onion? I wouldnt mind having this dish every other week if those caramelized onions were added in.

Buttered rice, yogurt mint dip, soy grilled chicken, sourish mangoes salad taste to me like a strange mix but I finished them all anyway in 2 sessions (kept half for dinner) because I don't waste food.
