Set Meal: BBQ Pork + Roast Chicken + Vegetables (Bean Sprouts), 14.90 ringgit. This was your usual chicken rice, or rather chicken + pork rice, lol. I guess for a dish that cost 14.90, whatever served on the plate should be more than enough, especially when it comes with vegetables and soup on the side but 4,5 thinly sliced pork meat and 4,5 pieces of roasted chicken did not do it for me. I barely even had the time to decide whether it was good or not before it all disappeared into my tummy. I guess that explains why every table had a big plate of meat on its own because the set simple does not offer enough. As for how it tasted, the chicken rice tasted okay. For me, nothing beats the chicken/pork rice at Meng Kee ( Meng Kee Char Siew @ Shah Alam – One of the Best Char Siew Rice I’ve Tasted. ) There is nothing much I can say to describe chicken rice, lol or how different it is from one and another because they all almost taste similar but yea, the ones at Meng Kee Shah Alam is the bomb. Since I am one of those who eats chicken rice once in a blue moon, when I do get do get down to eating it – I want something really good and for me, good is at Meng Kee, till I discover another restaurant that serves awesome chicken rice.

Sabah Soft Shell Crab Fried Rice, 28 ringgit. Ooooo man, do not get me started on this dish. The fried soft shell crab was da bomb! The crab here was pretty huge, I kindda thought half of it was made up of flour but nope, the flour was just a thin layer on the outside, the inside – was all crab, from one end to the other. No joke. They added some spices and that gave it some sort of spicy, herb-y flavor? It gives it a different taste entirely from the ones you’d usually get elsewhere. The flavors from the crab totally compliments the salted egg fried rice, which on its own was utterly delicious. The whole dish was delicious. Certainly a dish I will reorder again and again.

One of the reasons why I enjoy fusion food so much is because the amalgamation of flavors and textures, never ceased to surprise me. Unagi Tamage Donburi - This was extremely disappointing - the unagi has a lot of bones. So many that we had to page the staff to inform them of this situation. The staff only said "it's normal to be like that". I'm not sure if they are trained to speak that way, but that's certainly not right. Also, there was no offer to change / remove it off the bill for such a amateur mistake. For an upscale restaurant, bones should be completely removed. If not don't serve it at all. I complained via Instagram and the handler responded with a more positive note - to prepare another bowl on the house the next time I return. This is a great way to let us know that they can do better than that. I haven't actually gone back for food every since - maybe next time. Thanks for handling it well!

I don't understand, their food ain't fantastic to be charging prices like Chillis, it's slightly better than Pappa Rich perhaps but charging rocket high prices. If you deliver the right portion it would make much more sense. Sorry Dome, doesn't make sense for a cafe to charge that kind of price. Still, there are a lot of patrons are fine with paying something that's not great in value. Although I have to admit, their food quality is satisfactory.
