It felt like a blast from the past as Baker’s Brew has transformed popular childhood snacks, including iced gem biscuits and tutu kueh, to delectable cookies.
I feel that these exciting new flavours are a MUST HAVE on your Chinese New Year snack table this year! I’m sure everyone, young and old, will enjoy them immensely.
For the ultimate crazy rich gift, go for Baker’s Brew’s Crazy Rich Bundle which comprises both the baked and snowskin sets at $138 nett.
One of the highlights of these tea puffs is their impeccable balance. The crust, while substantial enough to provide a satisfying crunch, is not overly thick, allowing the flavors of the filling to shine through.
If you are looking for a full set of afternoon tea, then perhaps not 1872, but if it's a pit stop in between shopping, this is a nice place away from the crowds (provided the shop isn't crowded itself).
I don't have any preference when it comes to which one is more yummy? They're all good!
Recommended by ieatishootipost. The Seafood Pot Pie had a rich and creamy seafood stew coming together really nicely with salmon, snapper, prawns, mussels, clams and scallops, in a layered crispy pastry, and topped with briny trout roe. The Kouign Amman was good too, layered, doughy yet soft inside, crispy outside and balanced in terms of its caramelly sweetness.
Le Matin Patisserie at Ion Orchard is helmed by a former pastry sous chef of Noma restaurant which once held the title of the best restaurant in the world. Chef Mohamed Al-Matin is back in Singapore to share his passion for fine dining and patisserie through Le Matin Patisserie.
It's a nice place to take a break from all the window shopping or actual shopping with bags and bags of loots.
Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving in Singapore is expensive so we settled for Han’s Mixed Christmas Grill to celebrate Thanksgiving. Turkey, Gammon Ham and Chipolata Sausages with Cranberry Sauce, w…
The mix of Western dishes like pasta, burgers and local favourites provide a link to the past. It was easy to decide what to eat at Han’s Cafe.
The custard center leans to the sweet side, while the crust is full of buttery goodness.
Overall, better than I expected. In fact, I wouldn’t mind having it again.
Some simple food is served in the cafe. Here are pictures of the Freshly Baked by Le Bijoux menu.
Delicious range of fresh breads: You will fall in love with amazing variety of their gorgeous, pick-me-up breads with light fluffy textures. The crusty, fragrant loaves of whole meal bread, ciabatta, cranberry bread, baguette and incredibly delicious walnut raisin loaf are some of the best-tasting breads ever– with a taste so fresh and compelling that you will keep coming back for more.
Service at DONQ is completely self-service. You pick out the breads you want from the display, and queue to pay over the counter.
Leckerbaer Singapore is the local outlet of the Danish cookie store from Copenhagen, Denmark. They are located on the ground floor of Isetan Scotts.
If you’ve never heard of Leckerbaer (pronounced “leck-er-bah-yer”), you’re not alone. While extremely famous in Copenhagen, this is their first-ever overseas outlet.
Overall, although we had mixed feelings about the non-cake food, and the time for preparation of the food took longer than expected, the sunny disposition of the folks at Amiral Atelier Paragon and the wonderful taste of the chocolate cake was enough to make it a delightful experience.
To be honest, I have visited the café 3 times, to the extent that my friend would ask “Why do you go back so many times if the first time failed?” I just wanted to give a chance because I liked the space, and the staff was warm and sincere.
I believe you could just blindly pick anything from the menu and it would still taste amazing. Thank you LeTAO, you truly make the world a better place.
The new outlet at Ngee Ann City has two ongoing promotion—any scone/teacake/butter croissant with a beverage at S$6 or any slice of baked tart and a beverage at S$11.80.
Their fruit tarts are crowd-pleasers that have legions of fans coming back for more.
Apart from the new beverages, BreadTalk has also launched a new Chilled Bun Series, cold pastries that are perfect for our sweltering heat.
One of the things I miss the most about New York City food are the Bagels. In Asia nothing comes close. Most of the time it’s bread passed off as Bagels. So it was with anticipation that I tried B …
Korfe ION Orchard has a series of Dalgona coffee drinks that are exclusive to this branch, as well as their Ang Mo Kio branch in Djitsun Mall.
In my books, though, Sugar Toast’s loaves are really arduous labours of love, and the handiwork every loaf takes does justify the price behind most of the menu.
I’d definitely head back with my friends to relish in the matcha lovers beverage as well as their half ripe castella cake.
If you’re craving a quick pick-me-up, LaLune’s teas and croissants would be your new favourite croissant go-to.
In its entirety, while the Nude is an innovative addition to the menu, I personally wouldn't recommend it to those who relish in the more predominant presence of cream cheese.
We would not stand in line for the tarts but now that the hype is over, we would happily head to Pablo Singapore when we like to enjoy freshly-baked Japanese cheese tarts.
There are places that do cheese tarts better, and PABLO Cheesetart is probably a place we would not find ourselves revisiting very soon.
I quite enjoyed making my own pancakes at Slappy Cakes though I soon realised I should not quit my day job for MasterChef Singapore.
