Verdict: Anytime is a good time for cocktails! The Farquhar’s Bar team serve a delicious variety of cocktails in extremely decadent surroundings. I’m now imagining myself nestle into the poshy leather sofa and soak in the bar’s air of elegance and old-world charm.

Mish Mash rotates for different craft beer every 2-3 months. Located on Muntri Street, not the busiest street in Georgetown but you will find many tourist and locals still wondering along this street for the food, pubs, and cafes along the street.
Well, we choose Kim Haus Spaghetti Aglio Olio Chicken (RM 22.90) and it did not disappoint. Spaghetti noodles were cooked to al-dente and was seasoned nicely with a hint of spiciness, then garnished with olives. We were surprised to see generous quantity of big chicken cutlets were served. It was great but the entire presentation or experience would have been better if the chickens were cut into smaller slices. Overall it was a great spaghetti.

We were amazed by the quality of the 1/2 Roasted Moroccan Chicken... grilled to perfection and the skin was brushed with Balsamic reduction, slightly sweet but with a bitter end (due to the singed skin). The meat was fork-tender and perfectly good on its own but even better to enjoy with Sea Salt or a tangy Thai Green Chili dip.

Sadly, perhaps it was too early into the evening as there were no life music performance yet at that hour (perhaps)! Prices of cocktails here starts at rm$20++ and beyond.
This bar currently top in our list for simple few reasons. Great ambiance, great live band and there are many props for you to play with. Besides that, drinks here are pretty decently price too. Heard my friend mention that cocktail in here are pretty good too which I have yet tried.

The Reverse Tap Beer Dispenser can dispense a cup of beer in just 7 seconds and it came with a special design cup that has a valve that open when slot into the machine. The machine is extremely easy to operate, even first timer like us can easily fill up a cup. Since the machine fill up the cup from bottom hence it reduce expose to air and create less bubble, it make the beer taste much more smooth. By the way, you can get a Kronenbourg 1664 for just RM 35 per pint.

The Buah Keluak Chicken was beautifully marinated, the sauce was expertly concocted... the Buah Keluak Sauce was something like blended Olives with a sleek bitterness, quite an acquired taste but the Chef had done wonders on the Chicken and amalgamated with the sauce perfectly. The dish might be a little expensive but trust me, the flavors are one of a kind
We decided to go with Peng Hu (RM 28). The fish was grilled to perfection in banana leaves, and was nice to enjoy itself without the condiments actually. Of course, the condiments elevated the dish into a higher level. This is probably one of the best marinated grilled fish without char that we really enjoyed.
Vasantham Shrimp – A Thai inspired deep fried breaded shrimp with herbs and spices, the shrimp cubes is battered and deep fried until golden perfection and it is served with Thai’s chili. The texture is crunchy outside while juicy inside.

We tried their Al Pesto Pasta and found that their Pesto sauce was delicious. It has an in depth herbaceous flavor with creamy texture... a pity that the Linguine was overcooked though
The Loft pizza served piping hot from the oven satiates the taste buds of those who love beef. It comes with beef pepperoni and beef bacon alongside mushrooms, onions, green pepper, pineapple, and black olives.
The Spaghetti Aglio Olio can be enjoyed on its own or diners can opt to have it with a medley of seafood. We wasted no time twigging in the pasta served with scallops, prawns, mussels, and Parmigiano cheese.

The burnt cheesecake here was more like a New York baked cheesecake (more dense), nevertheless it was still yummy. We got the set which comes with coffee (cake and coffee for RM15.90). A nice place to chill with a cuppa.
Surprise, surprise .. Gala House used to be a one-shop-lot size Cafe but now expended their business into two-shop-lot, where one is for you to enjoy your meal in a more family like setting while the other is a modern bar for you to enjoy your drinks, i find this combination kinda awesome
The chef shared with us that another popular main is creamy chicken since Gala House inception. It gives a rich filling when coupling the fried chicken cutlet with the cream.

On mains, we seemed to enjoy the signature Pork Collar more than Roast Chicken... the former dish tasted a little Char Siew, except that it was the melt-in-the-mouth tender. The meat was sous-vided before grilling, so you can sort of relate that soft-tender texture.
