The duck was tender chewy, the tau kwa and peanuts soft, and egg flavourful. The soup was really nice, having the same herbal bitter sweetness but lighter and less savoury than the braising sauce – I drank the entire bowl.
Definitely a few notches better than what i had a few years ago even though my heart continues to flutter towards Sean Kee braised duck rice at Geylang!

There was only one thing that i feel could be improved; the addition of crispy pork lard as i didn't find a single piece at all.
I took my time with my chwee kueh and coffee. What a simple and satisfying breakfast.
In terms of taste, i would very much prefer the Poached Chinese Spinach Soup with Egg Trio and Wolfberries from Hualong Fishhead Steamboat & Tze Char but the price difference (S$9.00 versus S$3.80) and the convenience of being closer to Chong Pang hawker centre means i would still go for this stall whenever the craving hits.
