Wat Tan Hor - Flat rice noodle in thick egg gravy.
餐馆里看得出有许多来自新加坡的食客,而且这餐馆的收费也没有因为靠近新加坡的关系而乱飙价,实属难得,所以推荐大家不妨试一试。 Obviously there were many patrons from Singapore, but San Low Seafood for my own experience is charge reasonably despite its proximity to the custom. So recommend fellow friends to try out :)
Tried the famed San Low Bee Hoon, along with black pepper chicken, beancurd with minced meat, and sweet potato leaves with fermented beancurd (RM75.65 for 4 pax, including drinks). Gotta say the food was really just so-so… 😡
But, truth be told, good San Lou Dry Bee Hoon is very rare now. Quickly come to Ah Kaw's restaurant while he is still wielding the wok 😄
we set off for ah kow 三楼米粉 at pelangi, reaching there about 6.20pm. the 三楼米粉 was really good!
The mee hoon is steamed before. IT have this very soft texture. The chef need to control the timing. If too soft, the mee hoon will cluster together. If too hard, the texture is gone.
Ke Ren Lai 客人来 is a nice comfortable place in JB to get to know many traditional Hakka dishes.
Lei Cha is the highlight of the shop which attracts our visit. White rice or brown rice (at your choice) are blanketed with full range of finely cut vegetables, like Kai Lan, cabbage, long beans, fried beancurd and dried radish, indeed a very healthy choice. The taste of the hearty meal is enhanced with a pinch of crushed peanut. If you a typical Hakka, you will definitely love and appreciate your rice to be flooded with the ground tea. Yummy!

I like Tai Hong's lei cha because the ingredients are fresh, and nicely done - the vegetables are juicy and crunchy even after soaking in vegetable "tea".
Overall, it is a good place for breakfast or lunch, the foods were served pretty fast, so if you looking for quick meal, this place is highly recommended. With the wide variety of foods, I bet you will definitely find something suit you.
For out-of-towners like us, Ais Kacang doused generously with chocolate sauce might sound like an anomaly – but it surprisingly tasted great. For one, we liked that the chocolate sauce was thick and not sweet. This was a nice departure from the traditional ais kacang that can get cloyingly and artificially sweet with too much syrup and sweetened water.
I love the thick hand torn mee hoon kueh at Yong Seng. Will be back for the dry version
老刘喜欢咀嚼米粉粿,一块一块在口里很实在。人潮越来越多,赶紧离去,下一站,Mawar炸香蕉。
Fresh fish swim bladder is soft and tender like a firmer kway teow, and has a subtle sweetness.
All Mamalicious kueh are made with natural ingredients and without preservatives.
Nasi Ayam in Johor Bahru. Their Char Siew is a must try!
Among all ingredients, I find that they could have omitted the minced meat and as a minced meat lover, I'm kind of disappointed here.
Food is nice. Price is right. Service by the youthful staff was polite and pleasant. RMB Noodle House 長江一品粿条汤 is a very good place for a quiet comforting meal like a local.
