The fried prawns with salt and pepper is indeed addictive. Pluppy prawns complete with flavours and it is fresh. Love the texture of the prawns.
Spare Ribs Rice Rice lover can go for their Spare Ribs Rice. Enjoy the chunks of meat together with the generous portion of rice here. Love the flavours of the dish itself. The Spare Ribs Rice is simply delicious and every mouthful is packed with flavours.
There are quite alot on the menu and it will take some time to go through all of them.
Likes: Nothing. Possibly just the cucumbers. Dislikes: Everything. Stop marketing themselves as Yunnan Xiao Guo / Guo Qiao when it looks and tastes nothing like it. I'm totally fine if this is "just another noodle house". But please don't insult my favourite Xiao Guo Mi Xian...
The chicken hor fun as usual only consists of chicken slices and some greens. The soup was very flavorful even though it looks plain.
I rather not comment on the Lap Mei Bao but I can say that I will not order it again. But since 怡林腊味 Yi Lin Lap Mei has a 70 year history being the 腊味老子号 (1948) in Ipoh, probably should give another try for its claypot rice with Lap Mei next time!
If you're like me and wondering if a shop that specializes in Chinese waxed meat would be able to survive in a mall by selling cooked version of their product, the answer is yes, it's possible. Against all odds, Yi Lin managed to stay in business and doing not bad.
Golden Cordyceps Flower Chicken is some of their signature as well. Grab this chicken which is packed with flavours where they are steamed for hours before served. The soup is very nutritious with the healthy blend.
Hakka Yam Abacus (RM 28) Hakka Yam Abacus is one of the famous dish in Hakka. They are being stired fried with minced meat, wood ear fungus (木耳), mushrooms, coriander & dried shrimps. The taste comes simply flavorful with the chewy texture.
Roasted Chicken Stuffed with Rice comes to my favourite where the fragrant rice is stuffed inside the chicken itself. The chicken skin comes crispy and meat remains moist and juicy. This is sinfully good and we are totally in love with it.
Nevertheless, that's just a preference but I still like this version. In the menu, there is also "Roasted pork belly w/minced meat rice", probably worth trying next time, also a 1-page of 16 varieties of noodles choices! Maybe will try the branch of 金山捌虎 at "The Starling" at Up-Town Damansara next round.
